I took 2cb on saturday by mistake thinking it was mdma/ecstasy

I have taken mdma a lot so im an experienced user and I have taken 2cb once and it was hilarious, I was in a house so the setting was much better.

But on saturday we were all in a big club and my mate said he got some pills, I always check what type they are prior to taking but I didnt this time. I took it and couldnt feel anything for a while then everything changed, crazy visuals and really really bad paranoia . I had to get my friend to stay with me the whole time. After what seemed like an eternity (felt like I was in the club for daaaays) it was only 4am, we all went outside and my friend got me a water. He thought I was okay but I wasnt, I was in a horrible state. We both got in a taxi and I got home. I got water and tried to sleep but there were crazy thoughts noises and visuals spiralling through my brain

I stayed up for 12 hours as I couldn't sleep at all. It was like a nightmare I was ringing my brother asking him what should I do. I had to tell my mother when I got out of bed. I couldn't go to to work today.

Sorry for the rant. Basically im okay now but in the back of my head I kept saying to myself FUCK IM GONNA BE LIKE THIS FOREVER and crazy stuff.

How do people deal with this shit? Im not doing drugs again

It happens. You'll be fine after a while.

I had a terrible trip on pure MDMA once. It took me a good month to fully get it out of my system.

My practical advice is this: embrace the emotional experience. Enjoy it, even. The more you go into it, the less it'll grip you. You'll be ok. :-)

The more I think about the experience the more I think im going to change into some wierdo. I know one thing anyway.....I will learn from it.

How can you trip from mdma? Its not psychedlic

Man I don't want to strike the fear into you but I took some shit that was supposed to be molly and it fucked me up for years really. I ended up in the ER having a anxiety attack. Now to be fair my dads side of my family has a history of panic attacks. My Dad, sister, aunts all went through bouts of anxiety attacks. I had them bad for almost 3 years, worst 3 years of my fucking life. I wouldn't wish that shit on anyone. Maybe it happened for the best tho cause now I don't do any drugs and strive to be as healthy as possible. I can't even really smoke weed any more, shit freaks me out.

Not trying to freak you out or anything. That's just my personal experience.

Man that sounds terrible: tripping hard in a public setting without intending to do it in the first place. You didn't do anything horrible so don't worry about it, you'll be alright.

I tripped on shrooms today and the effects have almost completely worn off. Pretty good time with friends except at some point got into a pretty deep dark place where I was very anxious of the past game mistakes I did with a chick I met last Saturday LOL.

This happened me a couple of weeks back. I had been doing coke all day, then took what I thought was ecstasy, and some mdma. The initial high was good but then my mind went to war with itself and I started tripping badly. A guy sat me down and kind of talked me through it and I was 'okay' for the rest of the night.

I couldn't sleep right for about a week after and I've been having some trippy flashbacks since.

It takes a while to get over.

I had a real horror trip on acid once. It took a week or so to feel normal, but every day was better than the previous one. In retrospect it was a real direct lesson about acceptance and non-clinging and all the stuff people work on when they do mindfulness.

If you have access to klonopin that will take a lot of the edge off. But in the long run it's probably better for you to solider through without it.

Also I disagree with the guy that said it will be hit-or-miss from now on. I'm in my thirties now and don't trip very often at all anymore, but if anything the experience made me more confident with drugs once I moved passed it.

First time I did LSD was an unintentional dosage between 1 and 10 hits (girl had taken 10, liquid, made out with me, and I didn't know what was up till I started seeing sounds).
I feel you for accidental dose, just don't worry about it. Look at the experience and laugh, it'll wear off and you will go back to normal, but that shouldn't be the goal. Learn from the trip and laugh.

Ive tripped in the near 3 digit range for number of times, no long lasting effects, just gotta let em wear off mate.

You're psychologically geared toward negativity right now so I strongly suggest zero partying this weekend or the next. Give your mind some time to de-load and sort itself out. You have to take the bad trip in stride and stop psyching yourself out.

You know when something extremely embarrassing happens to you, and you spend a few days thinking negatively and wondering if you can ever show your face in public any more...and then a month later you can barely remember what you got so worked up about in the first place? Same thing with bad trips. Find something else to occupy your mind and give it time to settle and recover. For now, sobriety and reflection are your two best friends. Just relax because everything is going to be fine...with time.

I'm the master of bad trips I've had so many. It's gotten to the point that when my friends see me having difficulty and ask if I'm alright I just say "Yeah, I'm fine. Just having a bad trip." What sucked for you was you didn't know what you took and that makes things extremely difficult. I'm not a fan of the 2c's because just a little too much is way too much. I had a blast when I took 10mg of 2c-i, but had a horrible time on 15mg. You got yourself caught in a negative loop because you were on something you didn't want to be on. It's best not to dwell on it too much. You'll be fine in a week, just stay sober. Whatever you do, don't take Emech's advice. Smoking/eating weed so soon after a trip will cause a flashback.

MDMA isn't psychedelic, but MDA is. Both are sold as ecstasy. Molly is usually understood to be pure MDMA.

I had nearly congruent experiences to yours when I used to be a regular pot smoker a couple years back. I was fine with regular/low grade weed, but extremely high quality sativas with an excessive THC percentage, would plunge me into mental entropy.

Heed your advice with utmost sincerity and regard. I've been in the same drug-induced state, with varying degrees of intensity, multiple times and I told myself that each time. And seeing as how you're "an experienced user" of MDMA (an arguably highly addictive drug) you may be similarly inclined to the same rationalizations to resume drug use as I had...

Despite my intuition not to, I continued my habit of smoking. Initially when I resumed smoking I wouldn't have any negative experiences with it, and even if I did then it was manageable. So with this foolish rationalization in mind, I would progressively indulge in getting high until I would inevitably, and unknowingly, smoke a strain that's effects were way beyond my level of control. This resulted in a stage where I would be heavily tweaked out and obsessed with my mental condition. This fixation would then cause severe anxiety and panic. But eventually the chemicals would dissipate, homeostasis would do its work, and my mindset would normalize. Once this happened the cycle would usually repeat itself and I'd be smoking again within a couple months.

Every subsequent time I smoked the side effects would be more and more intense and last longer. First time I was fairly tweaked for a week, but managed to shake it off. Second and third time it would be stretched out for a month. And the last time, which made me quit permanently, lasted much longer.

The last time I smoked was the most frightening period of time in my whole life. I couldn't sleep soundly for a week, I couldn't eat which resulted in me only eating 1/4 a meal a day, I couldn't think properly, and I spent every minute of the day scared shitless for my well-being. My entire way of thinking was dominated by perpetual paranoia, heart-aching anxiety, and routine panic. I genuinely thought I would be stuck in this train of thought forever and that all the stress I was placing on my brain was destroying it. I had absolutely zero control of my mind and was considering some morbid solutions.

It has been around 1 year since I last smoked weed and I've rehabilitated myself to virtually the same capacity I was prior to my introduction to cannabis. However, I still occasionally undergo thought restricting headaches at times of physiological stress such as being
sleep deprived/hungry (never happened before smoking) and instances of mental fogginess (although this could possibly arise from alternative factors), and other marginal nuances that I've since adapted to. Overall, this experience motivated me to better care for my health, both mentally and physically and I have since substantially improved both.

Some tips I have for getting over this:

Give it time
Like others have implied, time is definitely imperative to the readjustment of the mind. A significant amount of the effects people have come from the drug itself. So give it adequate time to get out of your system entirely.

Think about something else/Preoccupy yourself
This one's really important. I would always be in the worst state of mind when I would be thinking about it and contributing to the negativity. Your paranoia is only as influential as you make it out to be. If you're overthinking then go out for a walk or go to the gym. Do something that interests you!

Talk to Family Members
Getting an issue like this off your chest and having understanding and support from family members is reassuring to say the least.

Remember the fact that it is all in your head.


To anyone reading:
I suggest that if you're considering using drugs, then for your mental and emotional sake altleast have a solid understanding of your family's genetics. The only reason I had such bad experiences with certain strains of pot was because I was genetically predisposed to anxiety, paranoia, and depression from inheritance. Ingesting heavily mind altering drugs tends to elicit latent genes in some people that should best be dormant. If you're void of certain mental proneness then great, drugs may be for you! However, if you're not, then do your self a huge favor and quit, or atleast proceed drug intake with anally-retentive regulation.

There are many paths to happiness, and the
opaque route of drugs is one littered with land mines. By taking this
path you may very well reach your destination, but one faulty step and you could fuck yourself up for life. Be wary of the shit you put in your body.

Seroquel is a highly sedative drug,drop it and go to bed.
depending on your sensivity 25mg makes you very sleepy,100mg will slowly knock you out(in 30m-1 hour if you ate something before), don't try to drive or juggle chainsaws while on it, be ready to wake up tired

It definitely the worst feeling in the world by far. It feels worse than knowing someone has died I shit you not.

When on the phone to my brother he was kind of laughing and I couldnt get him to understand where I was coming from. Even though he did know he kept saying youll be fine, even my mother said it( shes an outreach/drug worker). In that very moment in time the only thing that matters is you and your sanity. You cannot see the trees from the forest in that sitaution. Im slowly getting back to reality though thank fuck.

Lying in bed with a chick in my apartment, I watched myself die once, lying in bed with a chick in an all-white room. I was either choking or having a heart attack.
I don't do acid anymore, and have only done it a few times, but if I intentionally start recalling the experiences I begin to feel the sensation. Is that a flashback? Anyway, I never follow that feeling down the rabbit hole.
