Analysis of whether marriage makes sense for young men.

It's rather confusing and written in a geeky way. If this is some oddball way to spread red pill messages to the public, I don't see it happening. It does make a good point about men marrying too early, though.

Excessive use of Excel sheets is bad style. Use Graphs damnit.

Nicely done. Though George Clooney is not exactly your average even Master PUA.

And even children are not a reason for marriage - fathers have basically the same rights even apart from marriage - meaning in most cases slim to none or if the woman is reasonable then equal. In some countries fathers have fairly equal rights - just be careful to never impregnate a bitch or she will let your kids pay for it.

TL;DR

The YouTube video of the guy breaking down cost/benefit of a lifetime of hookers vs. marriage and risk of divorce (in USA) is way better.

Definitely agree with the graphs vs. spreadsheet comment above.

It's written to mimic a Wall Street pitch book. So, insiders will find it amusing and to everyone else it will look weird.

If they are going to roll out a report like that it should be without so many errors.

Dupe!

/thread-22618....t=Marriage

Also false, no writer is allowed to contribute if they are only 22.

As noted, only funny if you've worked in wallstreet because that is exactly how an M&A book looks. Football chart, accretion dilution etc.

Not targeted to the sphere, next to no writing is anymore.

ha if there are errors feel free to point them out. Not likely going to change it though.

The post is over a year old and we already got the traction from it.

Not sure where zelcorpion got that idea but it's 100% false. We don't even let IB analysts post because they are too young.

RE: Wall street playboy analysis of whether to get married
I remain an idealist at heart.

Lately I've begun to warm to the idea that we are deluding ourselves when we overanalyze the question of whether a man should get married.

In the end, no amount of rational flow-chart, pie chart, spreadsheet, powerpoint, or other such intellectual masturbation can override the biological imperatives of the species.

What is one man's mind, when set up against the 100,000 year old mind of the race? How lame! How obscene! How blasphemous! It is a blasphemy against life itself.

Viewed in this light, our puny quantitative analysis of marriage and procreation seems so inadequate, such a negation of life.

Those who have felt the transformative, curing power of love, that inexpressible ache to merge one's self with the self of the Other, will know deep in their bones that rational analysis of affairs of the heart always come up short.

The heart has its own reasons, which the mind cannot know, as Pascal says.

Flight from the responsibilities of life is a negation of life itself. Even if we had our hopes dashed, our ship of dreams wrecked on the jagged rocks of Fortune lining lonely shores, I say love is the ultimate Creative force. No man should ever regret that which comes from sincere and honest love, even if it be a failed marriage.

And is there any price that is too high to pay for true love? Those who have tasted it know the answer.

Retreat not, O young man, from the snorting and hissing dragons of this world! Plunge headlong into the caverns of your heart, though it be lit only by your own flickering candle!

^ Wtf (joke)

If you want to get married just don't sign The contract. Ring + ceremony. If she needs the contract she doesn't love you anyway. Nothing good comes when you bring the government into your life or a court room.

Stand to be corrected - no prob. Read it on the side pages of financial paper website - short comment on you guys.

Exactly. That's what I told my girl. And she is a veritable angel who had one guy before me (really - hypnotized her to ascertain truth - hehe). The government will be in your face anyway as soon as you have a kid and there is a disagreement between you two - so necessary to plant seed only in very very sane and best Red Pill woman.

Don't Co-Habitat laws fuck that over somewhat. If you live with a woman for over 18 months or something they can still come after you ?

^ ha.

Well I can assure you there is a zero percent chance anyone under the age of ~26 will ever post on that blog.

If you can't tell by the info you either don't know anything about Wall Street or are simply speculating.

Once you survive ~4-6 years you have good info on the industry. Since we cover hedge funds and private equity as well that should be a dead giveaway your assumption makes no sense.

Anywho hope you enjoyed it.

@zelscorpon you got it right.

@kosko yes the rules are fucked but at the end of the day, marriage is a tax. I ran the numbers before and you pay more in tax being married than single, we had a debate on this but factually you lose more money when you are legally married. (Assuming you earn a good income).

That's right. I have no idea how old your posters are - how could I? I don't know you in real life and I don't look at your site. I was expressing an opinion, and the opinion was based on the way you attack others on this site, and also how defensive you get. Young people get defensive, and butthurt.

For example, ^

Nah you got it twisted.

I am not defensive or angry about it, the proof is in the pudding anyway. If someone on the Internet can make me angry in real life, I"ll jump off the Brooklyn bridge.

I am merely pointing out you made an incorrect assumption and that the content/info would immediately prove otherwise if you knew of the industry. So the only person who is "butthurt" is you because I broke it down so quickly. Anyone with a speck of info about Wall Street would know that blog is not written by someone who is 22.

To be crystal clear you would know with certainty it could not be written by someone who is 22 based on the detailed information provided.

Anyway I don't really mind if people think it's a 20 y/o writing it, their loss.
