How do you start a digital magazine?

The same way you would start a print magazine. It's the media business and all of the platforms are relatively similar in that you need interesting/unique content to attract an audience to attract advertisers.

What does your ideal reader look like? Why are they reading your magazine over another with similar content? Why are you choosing this format over some other digital content formats?

My questions are a little out of order but start with who you're writing the content for and what content can you create to get them to pick it up? Then work backwards from that point.
