Holy shit. I knew smart phones were portable snitches that you keep in your pocket, but to see it with my owns eyes makes me want to get the old school Motorola Flip Phone.

Yes, if you were somewhere you shouldn’t have been, it’s probably not helpful to keep a record of that. This feature has existed on iOS 7 since it was launched in September of 2013 last year. It doesn’t store everything, but if your iPhone were to fall into the hands of someone who knows about this feature, it could be disastrous.

Addendum... is there a way to tap into this on... other people's phones?

Anytime I hear about a weird hack, I have the simultaneous impulse to protect myself against it, and exploit it.

This guy cracked the software so you could see what the tracking layout looked like for your self. Let me charge the laptop up so i can share it. Can you upload files like that to the board? It's not a link, but the program that i downloaded myself

Runsonmagic- google phones had hysterical publicity over their very invasive built in software. Androids seem better in regards to privacy but not promised immune thus far

It's two wings of the same bird. Both Androids and iPhones are walking spy gadgets. If anything you have to trust Apple more as Google has a web worse track record of data mining for the purposes of shilling you Ads.

Both simply want to create digital avatars of you to sell to advertisers without your permission. It becomes to blatant when all your trends get so detailed that your phone knows when your likely to crave a coffee and then shills you a Starbucks advert almost subconsciously.

I realized my IPhone is a spy dump because no matter how much I clean up my phone. Storage always gets used up. I have no idea what is eating it all but I has to be the phones cache.

They can track you via your cellular info also. So they can track any kind of phone. Smartphone tracking is just more precise.
