Hey all just had a recent experience with a typical young girl who puts in low effort into her appearance. I'm talking frayed hair always pulled back into a ponytail, sweatpants, sweatshirts, Uggs, American-Eagle hoodies, messy eyeliner, unsnug t-shirts, sweaters that look like they've been stolen from her mom's closet, etc. You guys have all probably been there. Thing with this girl though is that she's not that physically unattractive, she just dresses with no style and femininity. So after casually dating her for a while (didn't bang her) I begin to put her on the back burner, though I hate to see good potential go to waste, especially if I can get her to dress up the way I want . I decide on one last date, setting it at a sake bar whose owner I am fairly well acquainted with and tell her its high end and requires some dress up. She asks me what she should wear, and I tell her to throw on a snug dress, heels, some nice jewelry and wear her hair out. She acts a little nervous at first but I encourage her by telling her she can show off a bit and I send her this picture telling her it would be a shame if she didn't what I think she would look like dressed up (since she actually resembles the girl in the picture).

Come date time she shows up and all I can think in my head is "damn, didn't know she had it in her." The resemblance is striking and at the end of the date its like I get to go shag my vision of a girl I molded to my liking, as weird as that sounds. Unfortunately, I have yet to bang her and only got a blower on this one date, and she went back to looking "normal" the next day, but I'm still trying to push that bang and keep that "idea" alive. Any one else have thoughts on, err, tuning a girls appearance to your liking. Ideas, hints, stories? I know this strategy works on a minority of girls or only young ones, but I'm curious as to how to make it work more often.

I am going to tell you from first hand experience that if it isn't in her soul to be a fashoin diva it will almost never be. The only way you can make this happen is if you are willing to invest in her longterm. You are not only dealing with her lack of fashion taste but her low self confidence levels as well. Problems like this take a long time to resolve.....if she is worth it then go for it.

I have this chic I am seeing right now that does not want to dress up like a girly girl. She knows I really like girly girls and she even points women out that she thinks I would like because they dress nice. She will soon be cut off because I know longterm I wouldn't be happy with a girl that didn't put effort in her appearance no matter how good she looks naturaly. After awhile the inital attraction wears off and can turn into disgust.

Wow, if I ever found a guy who pushes me to do smt which would change my life I will marry him. Seriously.
The girl has selfsteem issues. Put some clothes will make a temp change, but there are more issues that only her can beat by herself. She needs, also a female reference, like a friend, a cousin.
Or, just don't know how to do. Never learnt. Never in her life ever read Elle or Vogue, as my friends jokes " Vogue is the Bible"

thanks for the input, its not so much that I want her to be a fashion diva its that I like the idea of having a hot chick whose not brought up being a b#*ch like so many others. I think Roissy wrote about this that if a girl who's born pretty(in America) will be brought up as a golden child and feel more entitled, whereas a girl who actually has to work to improve her looks will still feel humble from her previous looks and status. She might have self-esteem problems but I'm not sure if its anything out of the ordinary since she's young (18). Right now I think it's worth putting in some effort, not that I'd be doing stuff with her every damn day but it would be like a long-term gradual project, probably over a couple of months while I keep my other prospects a secret.

Yea like I said to fman she might have some self esteem issues but I think its just her youth. In terms of female role models I don't know and don't wanna know though I hear her arguing with her mom on the phone CONSTANTLY. And damn how I wish other chicks in my school actually started learning how to dress sexy.

I like girls that dress up like a naughty nurse, secretary, or school girl. Problem is a lot of them wont. If not tell them the girls down at the Pussycat Lounge will and walk out the door. Come back with a "lil stank on the ole hang down" and she'll change her mind....or throw all ur shit out in the yard. Either way, good times.

Old or young self steem issues can be big. No matter how old are you, it will depend on family background, education, social network. Dress well does not mean put the smallest clothes ever. Means to know what suits you and your lifestyle, since fashion is an art concept.
