This forum is full of people who have interesting money-making hobbies or professions, so I was wondering what your best business decision or stock trade (etc.) was.

The one I remember most is back in the late 90s tech bubble, I had my mom open up a stock market account (under her name) and I made a few lucky trades netting a 40% return. As I look back, I was fairly lucky, because just as the recent housing-bubble burst, the tech-bubble burst just as badly (although it seemed to have lesser overall repercussions).

Since then, I've read a lot more on finance, trading, and economics, and I think all this new knowledge just pushed me farther away from actual trading.
