What I'm actually interested in is how he marketed himself and how he got the word out. There is surely a market for this, especially if you say that all those PUA's are fake, etc.

i talked about this biz model a bit back.

shy away from the whole pua thing, and market yourself as a life coach. monthly fee, get the guys working out, work on their style, go out for beers and fun a night a week or so.

good to see it worked

Gio, looking at you here brother. SF is full of nerds...don't you think they need a charismatic half-Spanish dude to help them out?

Mainstream articles will feature life coaches in a positive light...PUA coaches? Never.

This guy just got the best free advertising you can get in NYC.

At this point everyone looking to set up a seduction business for the mainstream where meeting in person is the goal must distanced himself from the PUA mantra!! And the funny thing is that if you take away the attraction part from the Mystery Method with it's peacocking bit, the rest of it is a bit nerdy with it's acronyms, but right on point.

Too bad a lot a people got caught up with that part and didn't focus on the rest. Game is game and the knowledge part about connecting that he teaches is exactly the same across the board, but died down for the main stream. But hey, won't knock him down at all since he's doing what he's gotta do to get that $.

I'd be doing exactly the same! Also the mainstream guys must avoid saying why Game is now necessary to learn if you wants to get laid. Can't make the women mad and have bad publicity for his type of business. Guy willing to fork out 1000$ a month wouldn't dare associate himself with someone associated with a PUA moniker like Roosh or Mystery... publicly. Speaking about that, I've stop thinking of Roosh as a PUA for a while now! He goes in deep with life advice Patrice O'neal style. He's way above that moniker now

That's a reasonable rate.

$1,000 / 4 meetings or going out = $250 a session.

Each session probably lasts 4 hours. That's $62.50 per hour.

Guys trip when they see a stack a month, but break it down and it's like "Oh yea, this guy's time is valuable and that's quite reasonable".

I charge similar for my 6 month program and any less and it wouldn't be worth my time.

To put another layer of context on it, a good SAT tutor will cost about the same per hour. Education is education, whether you are learning about math problems or game, and it tends to command a decent price these days.

I used to work for a small SAT tutoring firm. We charged clients $125/hour for a weekly 2 hour session (so $500 every week for me to come for 2 hours). I often worked with clients for months at a time. What wealthy parents will pay to improve their kids' SAT scores so as to get into Ivy league schools has little upper limit.

I think it might be important to not undercharge. It can make the students take it more seriously if they are putting in hard earned money.

The difficultly with life coaches is that the value they offer is often difficult to objectively access from the outside.

I've people bill themselves as life coaches who offered tremendous value, and others who actually made their clients lives worse. Hell, I've dated women who worked as life coaches who fell into both camps.

1000$ could be a very reasonable rate if he's good, but if he's not, no amount is fair.

With self-development products the investment isn't the money as much as your time and life. If you're gonna commit to a program, it's isn't about the cost, but the value.

If I was considering working with this guy, I'd want to talk to a few of his clients and students. Are they the kind of people I'd like to be more like? Ask who he thinks his best student is. Is that who'd you want to be? You know a tree by it's fruit.

Outside of references like students, could you break down what the differences were in terms of value or how some people could end up worse?
