Ridiculous Article: How to Spot a Relationship Guy vs a Player
This article is one of the more ridiculous I've run across in some time and I felt compelled to share it here. "Relationship Guy" is code for Beta and "Player" is code for an Alpha who has some but clearly not all of the elements of tight game. It's also chock-full of contradictions, particularly the admission that the Alpha qualities "might be attractive to you and turn you on."

The funny thing is that women will read this, agree, yet still put out for guys with game. But you knew that already.

http://www.pattiknows.com/spot-relations...vs-player/

The last line might be the best: "Relationship guys are never on the market for long." Ha! So, wait, nervous guys who wait for women to approach get snapped up quickly? Who knew?

This is what women think of when you tell them to imagine shy and awkward guy for relationship:

RE: Ridiculous article
I actually think her points are fairly spot on. Relationship guy = someone who does not have a lot of experience with many different women. Player = opposite of relationship guy. However, women are generally slaves to their programming, so even if she had the rational wherewithal to identify a guy by this type, she would still fall for the player if only because he approached her first. The Relationship guy never had a chance.

The only type of women who could conceivably do this sort of thing are older women, who have seen and fucked it all. But players don't want those anyway, so these older women approach relationship guy and he is so lucky. Basically, it's win win for player, and lose lose for the relationship guy.

Going by her 'article'. A relationship guy seems dull and boring, the player guy is where its all at.

Seems like an accurate article to me. I know they never will, but wouldn't women who want a relationship be better off avoiding us and and approaching shy betas?

RE: Ridiculous Article: How to Spot a Relationship Guy vs a Player
You can whittle it down to this:

[To a woman]

If you meet him in a bar and you want to fuck him, then he is a "player."

A player in most cases is just the guy that a girl is not hot enough to lock down. Because he fucks and runs, or just doesn't commit to her, he's transmogrified into A Player.

I used to think there's nothing wrong with meeting a girl in a bar, that relationships can start anywhere. And I still think that. But the whole point of a woman going to a bar for men is to get sexual attention from high value men, men who are higher value than what she's already getting. You go to a nice restaurant to get food that's better than anything you eat at home, and you go to a bar to get the gaze of some high quality dick. A girl isn't going to the bar and just settle for the sexual equivalent of a tuna casserole - she wants that prime grade beefcake. Virtually every girl in the bar only has eyes for guys who are higher value than them. And by and large, a guy who's an 8 is not going to lock down a bar bang that's a 6 or 7. Meanwhile, that 6 or 7 will see the guy who might be the perfect match for her at the bar and even talk to him, but she will blow right past him in favor of the rakish male 8.

And that's why it's rare that a woman meets their husband at the bar - a truism chicks love to repeat, but they never quite break down why. Say what I said above, and watch the Hamster spin.

RE: Ridiculous Article: How to Spot a Relationship Guy vs a Player
That's a really good point. I've seen a lot of women lately who consistently land guys who are higher value than them at the bar, don't realize, and get used to it, which makes them think they're value is higher than it is. Then when they try to date for real, the guys they're used to banging won't give them the time of day. They lose track of their real value.

Same goes for women who do a lot of online dating, too.

http://www.clubviplife.com/matchmaker.html

Her bio is hilarious:

Quote:Lisa Clampitt, LMSW, is the founder and president of VIP Life, a professional matchmaker and relationship expert since the late 90's and a New York State Certified Social Worker since 1991.
She was educated at New York University, receiving a BA in Dramatic Literature, and received her graduate degree, a Masters in Social Work, from the University of Michigan.

Dramatic Literature and Masters in Social Work (notice she puts LMSW like it's some prestigious degree like a doctor). Another liberal arts major waste of space. I especially love the line in bold below:

Quote:Lisa founded the Matchmaking Institute in 2003 to set a code of ethics and strict quality standards in the matchmaking industry. It is the first institute offering a professional matchmakers network, matchmaking workshops, yearly world-wide professional conferences providing matchmakers with a group of peers & support and is the only State Licensed matchmaking school in the world.

Oh, I'm sure there are plenty of "state" licensed matchmaking schools around the "world."

I just love the logic of "relationship guys are shy and don't approach women" combined with "relationship guys usually aren't single for long!"

Spin hamster spin!

RE: Ridiculous Article: How to Spot a Relationship Guy vs a Player
I actually agree with the idea that the relationship guy isn't on the market for long.

A guy who is a player has options. Look at dudes with game who are older. They still go out and murder it. Even though those dudes are 30 or 40 they're still on the market and doing work.

The classic "nice guy" will basically snap up the first girl who shows interest in him. He's the dude with the busted girl three points lower than him. He'll also hold on way longer, these are the guys who end up old and unhappy in some dead marriage where they watch ESPN while their wife nags them about taking out the trash.

The other "nice guys," i.e. the bronies and dudes who can't ever escape the friendzone, tend to give up on the game and reside to porn and video games.

At the end of the day players are always going to be on the market longer because they can actually compete. All the other dudes voluntarily forfeit.

Quote:Since spotting a nice guy is a key aspect to finding a lasting relationship, and something so many women struggle with, I thought I would take some time to divulge how you can master this skill too.

Girls don't have trouble spotting nice guys. Just take a look at their friendzone corps.

I don't agree with shy being correlated with relationship guys. There are plenty of players who are the Sigma type that pass through a room, pull a 8/9, and leave without anyone knowing.

A college girl I was dating had some kind of article like this in a book and she started reading it out loud. It was like she reading a list of traits someone had wrote about me. It was hilarious at first but she kept reading and it kept describing me. Then for whatever reason I got pissed off and made her close the book and sleep on her couch. (this was in her apartment by the way)

Not even sure why it made me mad......
