This thread is for everything to do with street game in Tokyo. Let's share our knowledge and experiences.

I've always been a club/bar guy (which I'm trying to change) so this is going to be a thread for updating my progress. Looking forward to contributions from others too.

I figure I may as well start this on a positive note. Got my first ever street SNL last night.

Age of girl: 18

I was in Shibuya with a wing doing variations of petshop openers for over 3 hours. We are struggling to get in state and getting ignored a lot. It is getting late, so I'm about to go home. My wing says "I told you! This time of night sucks for street. There aren't enough sets dude!"

This proves to be an ironic comment because things get better almost immediately afterwards when I see a set of two stumbling along in the street. They are obviously drunk. I decide to drop the petshop BS and just open the cutest one in a direct way. She opens really well and answers me in broken English. It's on!

Looks-wise, she is the epitome of Japanese girl next door. Skinny, long legs, dyed brown hair, big anime eyes, nice teeth, expensive clothes and bag. No obvious faults apart from having no tits.

She says she is 18. Gulp. I get her to guess my age and she says 25 so I just roll with it. She is a college freshman, just out of high school. Turns out she was just drinking with her friend and ex-boyfriend who they accidentally managed to lose on the way somehow.

The two girls had both missed their trains so we try to bounce them to a bar but mine won't shut up about her ex:

We arrive at the bar but both girls are now being all indecisive and panicking. I guess they aren't used to being picked up by foreigners late at night on the street! My wing isn't doing well with his girl, who is bullshitting on her phone, calling some random guy (I think to bring him to where we are at because they are scared). I isolate mine in the car park outside and make out with her without her friend seeing us. She keeps saying 「いやだ。。やめて！」("No...Stop!") while kissing me back. Gotta love Japanese girls and their masochism.

Meanwhile, Taro keeps blowing up her phone. She shows me it and there are over 10 missed calls in 30 minutes.

This is where I get a stroke of luck. Her friend suddenly decides she wants to meet some random Japanese guy at his place and tries to get my girl to go with her. Fortunately, the guy on the phone isn't having any of it and insists on only the friend going. So I step in and tell her it's OK, I will show her friend some "cool bars until the first train". Somehow, she buys this and I jump in a taxi with mine before there is time for any protest.

Of course, we don't go to any bars. I suggest watching a movie at my place. She agrees with a 「なんでもいいよ」("I don't mind") - a classic J-girl line.

We get back to my apartment. Like in the carpark, she puts up standard LMR and even tells me to "sutoppu" in her Japanese English but she is soaking wet and moaning. She says "we aren't having sex tonight" to which I reply "of course not we just met!"

Things learned:

1. All the failed street sets are just preparation for the good ones. Keep going and persisting. There was a lot of luck involved in this lay but I also made my own luck by approaching and spotting the opportunity when it presented itself. In the end, whatever your skill level it's just a numbers game.

2. Japanese girls are whores but they are selective whores. Even if they like you, if you beta out then someone else might be banging your girl raw that very same night!

3. Indirect street approaches have their place. Even if they don't pay off immediately, they prepare you for making opportune direct approaches later on.

4. Street is gold!

Tokyo street is the one place where I threw all the rules out and just went at it. The only opener I used was "do you speak english?" and that was about it.

Then you just walk and talk beside them, some stop, some don't.

I was being facetious. From what I understand, if the residents of a particular neighborhood complain to the police that a local bar is being a little too obvious about selling alcohol to minors, the police will pay the bar a visit and politely remind them about Japan's age of consent. I can't imagine that happening in Shibuya unless a bar or izakaya is really teeing off the locals. I assume it's more likely that a bar will turn away 18-year olds than a cheap izakaya.

Just as I was finding my groove with this street stuff, the rainy season starts. Think torrential rain every day for over a week. Seriously pissed off.

Made a few approaches anyway. The only notable one was a 2 set on Saturday night in the middle of torrential rain.

We were stopped at a traffic light in Roppongi with our umbrellas and I see a petite girl ahead of me. Pale skin and dyed brown hair. She is wearing a red one-piece that reveals some considerable cleavage with matching red heels and nails. Classy but a little bit slutty. Just my type.

I open with a simple "Hello. How are you?" before later switching to Japanese. Just standard bullshitting while my friend talks to the other girl. She has a wonderfully cutesy vibe that, to my knowledge, you only find in Japan. Her high-pitched voice makes her sound 18 instead of 25 (her real age). She apparently hasn't had a boyfriend for 3 years which is hard to believe. Japanese salarymen would gladly give a kidney to date this girl.

After maybe 15 minutes of talking, we realize that we are still standing in the heavy rain so we suggest going to a bar. They agree.

We end up in the bar for a good 3 hours. It starts off quite well when she says "You're not like other foreigners I've met. You are cool...like a Japanese guy!" As good as an show of interest as they come. Unfortunately, this was as good as it was going to get.

I try some light kino but the girl isn't responding. It later gets worse when she suddenly starts making reasons to talk to my friend. She keeps saying things like "Wow. Your friend is so nice!" or "He looks so strong!" We obviously have our wingman agreement in place already and my wing is just laughing it off but it's annoying as fuck.

In the end I get the number and we make tentative plans to go for dinner, but I highly doubt it will lead anywhere. I'll be surprised if she even gets back to me. My friend later tells me that the other girl had a boyfriend already and was boring as hell, so he was just winging it for me all that time. Standup guy!

Things learned:

1. You can approach no matter how horrible the weather conditions are. No excuses people!

Three hours? Sounds like you were taking up a lot of her time and she wasn't sure if you were the real deal. She probably would have been open to being taken somewhere and banged if you had attempted it before your value slowly fizzled out as it seems to over the three hours.

Good point. I should have been more decisive. She mentioned something about "other foreigners being too touchy-feely" which may have been a shit test, but it made me tone down my kino.

The no boyfriend for 3 years thing strikes me as weird too. No real sexual vibe from her so escalation could have been tricky.

I guess I'm still in the "wow street works!" excitement phase, so perhaps I got a little carried away with this set when we should have dropped them sooner. Then again, there were very few girls out...

Rainy season has finally calmed down. Did some street tonight but only managed to do 9 approaches, both indirect and direct. Took a while for my wing and I to get started. A few bites but nothing special. The best set was a big titted girl who walked with me before later revealing she had a boyfriend and bid me farewell.

The break has made my game sloppy. Street game is like a muscle - gotta put in the time to train it or it atrophies!

I was 19 when I went to Japan and never got ID'ed unless it was a club where they ID'ed everyone or I was staggeringly drunk. Either way even though I was underaged I was let in.

They may be more fussy with Japanese kids but being a foreigner they don't care. Japanese people are always very bad at judging the age of gaijin (foreigners)

All you need to do in Japan is stop them in the street and ask "do you speak English?", as long as they stop and talk to you what you say from then on doesn't really matter. If your singing is at least average karaoke is a good date/Insta-date cause you can drink in the private booths and make-out,fingerbang them etc

Japanese girls are very submissive and aren't ruined by feminism.

6 approaches tonight. 1 number. Noticed her sizeable cleavage from a distance - I'm a tit guy. Nice tan too. Turns out she used to live in US and spoke great English so I switched back to that. I think I posted this in the other thread but some common excuses I got on the street were:

"I'm meeting a friend." <--- ask when, sometimes it's like 5 hours from now.　Use something like...『じゃあ３０分でもいいよ、とりあえず俺も外で待つの嫌だし、
厚いからどっか入ろうよ』

"I've got an interview" <--- this one fooled me
"I don't have time."
”My train is leaving in 5mins."
"From now i'm shopping" 「これから買い物に行くんですよ」
"I'm in a hurry." 「急いでるんで！」
I'm going home. 「今帰るところなんですけど」

Sometimes you have to ignore what they are saying and just keep talking. Sometimes it's not always true.

Basically you are trying to get her to ドタキャンwhich girls do all the damn time.

Managed to do 15 street approaches tonight.

On the positive side, I approached some really hot girls. Talked to a blonde 9 who I would usually avoid out of AA. Another was gyaru looking but still nice. Helping to break the image of gyaru all being stuck up bitches. They are just normal chicks after all.

On the negative side, no numbers from street. However, I did go into a bar after, feeling really fresh. 3 bar approaches and got a cute 21 year old's number. Very cool.

Things learned:

1. Street approaches are great warmups for bar game. I felt zero AA inside the bar and was completely sober.

Which is better, the shopping areas with lots of girls that are known for "nampa" or the quieter places where you go under the radar? Shibuya is awesome for the pure quantity of girls but also getting blown out a lot, even when going indirect.

Thinking about it, most of the phone numbers so far have been from random locations. One was from outside my place. Then again, you could walk around these quieter areas and not see any sets for ages. Doing approaches during lunch hour might be an idea. Something to think about.

I believe the quieter places are better, but may be that just me because I don't really like crowded places and they make the girls more self conscious and I usually go for 'quiet' girls with dark hair. Also, just when I back to my country I realized skype channel can be a gold mine if you have the patient

I was in Harajuku and Ometesando Hills today and the ratio on the sidewalk and in the shops was about 70/30 women to men. Not all of them were young or HB, of course. I was with family so I didn't try any approaches, but some of them did look me in the eye when they walked by. Seems like a venue worth trying.

I always hit up malls/bookstores. 99% of all the nanpa guys are street only. I never once saw guys talk to girls inside malls or bookstores. Girls have their shields down when you are inside somewhere. Train game is also an option. Try other station that aren't heavily nanpa'd areas -- Shibuya, Shinjuku, Harajuku, Ikebukuro, are well known for heavy pickup. I tried Ueno, Tamachi, and Roppongi which aren't known for nanpa and I had better luck, but different types of girls go there (you won't see Shibuya girls in Tamachi or Roppongi but they rarely go there).
If you want slutty ギャルwhich are native to Shibuya then you gotta go where they are. Every station seems to have a subset of different kinds of women. I didn't get a chance to explore every station on the line, but i'm sure there is a place where you can find a niche.

Had a date with big titted girl tonight.

Anyway, apart from the revealing bikini shots and "almost" naked photos (attention whoring for the win) it turns out she has a long distance boyfriend in Europe. He is on practically 80% of the photos where she isn't half naked. OK, so it makes perfect sense now. Could still bang her but seems unlikely.

Still, looking at the 100s of thirsty guys commenting on her photos is weird as fuck. Here was me thinking "Nice body, meh face" and she is being worshipped online. It's like a distorted reality.

In any case, a simple street approach got me a 1-1 with her while 100s of other guys are whacking off to her Facebook photos. Not bad going. Better luck next time, I suppose.
