I'm going to spend the weekend in Detroit with a cousin and then flying on Monday or Tuesday for a week or so to Costa Rica. Any suggestions for good places to hit on these places? Mainly in Costa Rica? First time in both venues so no clues where to go for some good fun (ie clubs/lounges/bars etc...). What's the best beach town in CR? I'm mainly asking for suggestions and tips for Costa Rica as I'll be in Detroit just for the weekend visiting family and maybe go out once if I can squeeze out. So I'm all ears guys.

I was in Costa Rica recently - depends what you want. Lots of cool sleepy beach/surf towns along the Pacific Coast, some more built up then others. Depends on how interested you are in nightlife. I was in Mal Pais/Santa Teresa and had a great time there surfing and chilling, but its not exactly South Beach when it comes to nightlife. Jaco Beach has the most nightlife but is kind of dump.

Detroit....
-what a shit hole....thee scariest city I have ever visited

*check out greek town and the casino's...
*go over to Windsor, CA across the river and go gamble...basically the canadian Atlantic City..and the women are better...Canadians shit on Americans..just have the nasty body hair...
*Bring a winter coat...It's gonna be cold...spring doesn't start till May/June...
*I haven't hit the clubs in Detox in like 4-5 years but look online..

Thanks guys for the headsup. In Detroit or rather Detox town now and yes, there isn't much to do here. Cruised all night with my cousin to find a decent bar/lounge or even a strip club to have a few drinks, but nothing insight. Thanks god I'm leaving this dump tomorrow afternoon and flying to CR on Tuesday morning. Now, that should be a whole different ball game for which I'm very much looking forward to.

I'd skip Detroit and head straight to Costa Rica... Bring your cousin with you damit... don't leave him behind (assuming it's a he)!
