I'm heading to Bratislava for 2/3 days early next month... any advice???

I touchdown on a Tuesday, any know any night venues to pick up that might have something going on mid-week?

Also, any good bars to take a date...

I've been to Slovakia couple of years back, but this was in my pre-game chode days when I could only look at the hotties, not do anything else.

I was staying on Obchodna street which is where all the pubs and hostels are located. Awesome spot to pick up backpacker girls as they are literally all concentrated within a distance of 50 meters.

There is a Cuban/Salsa cafe bang in the middle of the old town. I think its called Havana. That is where I saw all the hooking up going on. Since I was there in July, that place was crawling with Italian, Spanish and British guys. However, from all accounts, they were doing well with the local ladies.

Wasn't too impressed with the attitudes of the local women then. They came off as slightly less westernized cousins of the Czech women. I think it's because Slovakia by then was already a fully integrated member of the EU+Schengen and the local economy was doing quite well.

The chicks tend to get generally hotter as you head east. There's a noticably higher number of hot girls in the Slavic countries compared to Belgium, Switzerland, Austria etc. Slovakia is smack-bang between the hotties of the Slavic nations and the chubby munters of western Europe. As such, they're better than what you'd get in Austria but not quite as good as what you'd get in Lativa.

When I was in Bratislava, some promoters were trying to brand it Party-Slava - this was in 2008, I believe. It did not strike me as that much of a party place, just your typical EE town with a nicer older downtown area (theater, some fancy hotel, promenade by the Danube) and the rest is grey communist-type buildings.
The Fashion Cafe accross from the bridge where the needle is localed seemed to have good-looking women.
I only spent 2 days there and drove away, this was on a road-trip with my then-girlfriend.
