I think she just got married. Julie makes politics fun. That's something that not very many libertarians know how to do. We desperately need a lot more like her.

Julie also favors voting Republican rather than Libertarian. So she's a small-l libertarian. She suggests trying to take over the Republican Party, which as Radical for Capitalism notes, continues to be an elusive goal since factions like the religious right have tended to more dominant.

I guess running for the Republican presidential nomination isn't a terrible idea, though. Both Ron Paul and his son Rand have done that, and attracted a lot of media attention. Ron Paul also ran on the Libertarian Presidential ticket in 1988, so it would be interesting to hear his perspective on the relative merits of running as a Republican and as a Libertarian. He's proven that you can run on the Libertarian ticket without destroying your career as a Republican politician, so maybe we'll see some candidates like Gary Johnson also returning to the Republican fold at some point.

Every cucked branch of libertarianism seems to have their token young spokeswoman. Jeffrey Tucker's "humanitarian" libertarians have Cathy Reisenwitz, a "former" feminist who bragged about dumping her husband and then went so far as to suggest that fans who want to date her should give her a donation so that she'll send a thank-you email. One of Cathy's claims to fame is that she debated Julie on Stossel.

The more traditionalist libertarians tended to have older, uglier, married women working on their side. Think Ayn Rand, Margit von Mises, Bettina Bien Greaves, etc.

The media treated Ron Paul like he was a third-party candidate anyway.

Margit von Mises was an actress in Austria and was very good looking when she was younger. She died in 1993 or 1994 and was over 100 at the time. Rand died in 1982. Bettina is still alive and almost 100. I wouldn't say that any of them are working for the movement anymore.
