I was at a friend's wedding tonight and met a hot, tall blonde chick (she was the one who actually opened me). To keep things short we were dancing and kept grabbing and slapping each others ass all night. At one point she even sat on my lap as we were drinking and taking shots at the table. At the end of the night, as everyone was saying their goodbyes, I gave her a hug, leaned in to give her a goodbye kiss on the lips and she turned her head away. I asked her if she was shy and she said something on the order of "I just met you, we have to hang out more." Wtf does that mean? We were just slapping each other's ass a moment ago. Was she held back because we were in front of her friends or did I screw things up by trying to kiss her? Should I proceed with this one or should I just move on? I added her to facebook but didn't get the chance to ask for her #.

I personally feel going in for a kiss is heavily dependent on there being a crazy vibe in the air. If that's not there, shit gets awkward.

Remember that this chick is probably close to her friends and possibly family. That puts her under a microscope so maybe she's not as relaxed as you'd think. Why do you think we avoid meeting the family in a LTR. There's nothing to lose to see if she wants to chill out again, but I'd expect cold silence in return. Sometimes girls just find a partner at weddings just to fell like they're participating in the romance aspect of the wedding but have no intent on taking someone back with them.

Wedding Crashers ruined all of us! haha

I never asked for her number which I should've had. But what's wrong with facebook closes? I have friends that do it all the time with great success. I'm rarely ever on facebook and never post anything. All you'll see on my facebook are pictures.

There were also plenty of single guys there so why did she pick me? She practically came over and just sat on my lap. She was also a friend of my friend's sister and we were sitting at the same table but then again there were 3 other single guys at my table.

Oh and she was definitely not the only single girl there.

Could have been bad timing, that her friends were around, or that she used you for a little fun but had no intention of going further.

Either way, hit her up on facebook with a simple and to the point logistical message, to meet up again at whatever place on "x" day. Tell her to message you her number.

If she's not going for it, next her.

That's probably what I'm going to do. How long should I wait before contacting her? 2-3 days? A week?

If you were getting touchy feely with her, isolate her and pull her in for the kiss away from prying eyes that will judge her.
I totally think you could have gotten alot more than a kiss with her. Never wait till the end of the date with a girl to kiss her. As soon as you get physical isolate and kiss close her.
Also after the kiss hand her your phone with the add contact screen up.

2 birds with 1 stone killed.
She saves face and doesn't look slutty in front of a bunch of people she knows but still get to lose herself in the moment.

There was no way to isolate her, it was a huge catering hall with people all over the place. We didn't even come across each other until the reception/dinner so I don't know if that would count as a date. I also don't see why I would have to isolate her for a kiss? She had no problem groping my ass on the dance floor.

The thing I don't like facebook closes is that there are gonna be several other thirsty guys hitting her up most likely - you're gonna have to compete with that. Personally, because im still a n00b and my game is weak, i'd get lost in the noise. My messages would be but a small droplet of urine in the great sea of waste that is her inbox.
A text or even better, a call makes you real to her. But again, as you'll know with hot girls, their phones start exploding with messages the closer it gets to a friday and saturday night, which again makes it that much harder than you.

I agree with the other guys, I think she needed to be isolated to be escalated. But it looks like there was a very small margin for error in this instance. Even if you did do everything 'right', she still may not have replied to texts. I've experienced it when you open a girl at a club, you're talking, everything seems to be going perfectly, then when you go to the dance floor with your girl, she just lets go of your hand and pisses off for the rest of the night...

See isolation as a test also; if she comes with you to "get some fresh air" or "look at the stars for five minutes" or whatever, you know you've built enough attraction to go further.

Wait a few more days. Follow McQueens advice on texting, in your case a facebook message. Again, just go for the meet-up. If there was something particular to your interaction, maybe begin with that, but I don't see the point in negging her at this time. Negging works, but it has to be timed right, and frankly I don't think it comes across correctly when you're not in person.

By the way, you're way overanalyzing this chick and what to do next. Do you think she's putting in this much time and effort into you? Keep hitting on lots of other girls...it's the summer, and the season is never sweeter than the beginning. This is harem building time.

Thanks for the input guys. When she turned her head away I did give her a weird look and said something on the order of "What the hell was that? Don't tell me you're shy." She did not give me any weird looks and I did not sense any negative vibe or body language from her. I guess what I really want to know is did I make myself look beta when I went in for the kiss and she turned away?

Edit: She actually just turned her head to the side and I ended up kissing her cheek. So I did actually kiss her but just not on the lips.

^^^ This. Chalk it up to experience, and to spot these opportunities in the future, and then take full advantage of them. It sounds like your making way too much out of a casual encounter that had little if any real connection.

I actually wiped out pretty hard mountain biking and got bruised up. I was thinking of weaving that into my response but I'm not sure.
