Some serious dark triad at play here.

I ended up watching the whole episode *just* because of that clip a few days ago, and it ends pretty badly. It was funny, but not much to take from it.

I suppose it is the price to pay to make having a sociopath on a sitcom acceptable to the general public. If they're laughing, they don't realize what they just saw.
