My situation is such that I have a lot of free time in the weekdays now, which I'd like to spend doing daygame.

My nightgame wings don't have this same freedom, so it looks like I'll have to go at it alone.

What can I do to push myself into approaching?

I am afraid that I might just waste my days aimlessly wandering around as a nervous wreck. :[

I started small. Just go up to each hot girl and ask for directions. Do it so many times that you get bored, and youll want to do more.

You need to give yourself permission to fail. Once you convince yourself that it doesn't matter if the approach goes wrong (chapter one in Day Bang shows how to do this), it will be a lot easier to do the first few. Then, after you've done a few and the sky hasn't fallen on you -- or better yet you had a good interaction -- use that as motivation to keep going.

It comes with practice, the more you go out solo, the easier it becomes. Don't expect to go out once or a couple of times and expect it to all fall in place.

When it comes to Daygame the big challenge is to get yourself in the mood of being chatty and not thinking that you're interrupting them. It might take some work to get there but it's definitely possible. If your night gaming is tight then the transition won't be that difficult. This video of Andy Yosha from Daygame.com really helped me when I was struggling with Approach Anxiety.

It's not as bad as you think.

What you're nervous about is getting out there. I get the same way but once I'm ACTUALLY out there, in the middle of hot chicks, it's not that bad.

I agree with the directions bit. And also, remember that once you have opened a chick, the next thing you say should be significantly easier to drop out of your mouth.

That can be "by the way, I like the xxx you're wearing.. I was shopping for my sisters birthday blah blah blah" or "let me guess his name (the dog she's walking with)."

"Let me guess" has worked well for me. It's flirtatious and engages them sometimes even more than "by the way."

Also dress well and walk like you're the boss (eg posture). I've improved posture quite a bit recently (chest up, stand straight, look people on the eye consciously as much as possible). This has helped a lot as I think it gets one more noticed amongst guys that don't do that.

As I'm writing this, I'm actually surprised as I consider myself a beginner. But I've learned a lot in very little time thanks to the older and younger players here. So I promise this is all from recent on the pavement true newbie experience.

Great advice in the thread so far. Work on the small wins, then build your way up:

Smiling at girls and holding eye contact until they look away --> Saying "Hi" --> Following up the greeting with a compliment or observation --> Engaging a girl in a 2-10 minute conversation --> Having a conversation and closing by getting her number --> Insta-date --> SDL

You'll likely need to approach at least 5-10 girls at each stage before becoming comfortable enough to move on to the rest. But once you've mastered a stage, consider it a success-don't hold back on giving yourself credit until after you've day banged a girl. Every step counts.

Also, the usual physiological advice: lift big, sleep well, don't masturbate.

Civ Pro huh? My worst subject.

If you're on campus basically studying for your next class, post up some place and let the chicks come to you.

If you want to ease into it, work on your "proximity" game more than your "run up on every halfway decent looking chick and ask her where the pet store is" game.

Just chatting up chicks that are in your general vicinity, will show you how little you have to fear.

And more importantly, you aren't running around like a chicken with your head cut off. That can get old QUICK.

Girl gives you an IOI, cheeky smirk on your face and just say 'Hey', you'll get a smile or hey back. That's your warmup.
Next one you can actually do the same with, stop and talk to her about whatever the fuck you want
3rd one, stop, talk to her and hit on her indirectly
4th one, stop, talk to her and hit on her directly

It'll just make it fun, get rid of any approach anxiety you have as you envelope yourself in each interaction.

Start off by hitting on service industry employees. They are almost always nice to you since it is their job even though they may not even be interested at all. This is what I like to do and it is a good way to get your juices flowing.

This might be a shocker but I actually use SEX to motivate myself

It's important for me at least to maintain the link between what I'm doing and why I'm doing it

Sometimes before I go into a venue I'll watch a couple of minutes of porn on my phone (in my vehicle) to refresh those images in my mind

If I see a girl I might want to approach, I imagine what her face will look like with my cock in her mouth or how her ass will look up in the air as I'm doggie styling her
