What's up boys. I'm now in the city.. left a little earlier than planned.

So I already know I made a mistake trying to go cheap here lol. My condo is in an inconvenient location and the neighborhood looks a tad shady. There arent even any family marts nearby, just shitty local convenience stores. And I've noticed I've already got a problem with ants in the room... On the positive side, at least I've got air con, decent wifi, and a flat screen TV with a wide variety of English channels. But If I stay longer I'm definitely gonna have to fork out the cash for better quality. Repeated again: don't go cheap in SEA... you'll regret it. lol

And boy, they like their carbs here huh. Maybe it's just my (admittedly limited) experience but so far it seems like most of the stores don't sell any meats or protein-based meals. Seems like it's all rice, pastries, and sugary sweet/salty deep fried snacks. Even the family mart at the airport. Going to have to order out delivery or take a grab to the nearest mall for all my meals. These sure aren't Bangkok-style convenience stores where the 7-elevens sell whey protein shakes and decent stuff, haha.

Despite the bad location, I've got a girl coming over later today, and lots more interested. Gonna try to go for 2 or 3 bangs in one day while I'm here and set some new personal records lol.

I follow this forum regularly especially anything about my favorite city jakarta.

Condo Puri Imperium in rasuna said will be a good choice considering logistics.

I stayed in many hotels, CS hosts, airnbnb, reddoorz, apartments in kemang and finally found a nice hotel called YELLO HOTEL-HARMONI with 32USD/night. It is in the same road 1km north of GRAND INDONESIA. Men/women staff is very pleasant and the ambience is superb with pleasant paints with colors of yellow and white inside the room.

The restaurant in the lobby is cool and taste is awesome especially mie goreng. You can arrange a date in this restaurant and can bring your guest directly to this room. You can bring any number of GUESTS anytime.

One of my date 8/10 asked if she can check my room. So I got it.

Let's just say I'm paying less than $250 for the month. I'm now upgrading to a better pad closer to central. I've already laid a few girls here but in general it's screwing me on logistics. I had to search for a better place with malls and such closer to the vicinity of the building.

Also, what is with Grab food delivery drivers refusing to bring food up to your door here? Every time I order something I have to meet them in the lobby while waiting for slow elevators. Gets irksome after a while.

I've never tried Grab food but I know that meeting by the roadside or lobby is the rule with all these motorbike delivery things in SEA. They just don't uphold the rule in most countries.

A lot of buildings won't let them up, so they probably in the habit. I've only had one refuse to bring it up to my level at the office but he came up eventually when he realised he wouldnt get paid if he decided to stay downstairs.

Can anyone recommend a school/class/course for learning indonesian in Jakarta? I would like to have something else to do than meeting girls while I'm there in November for two weeks. About 4 hours a day would be nice.

Question: if I want some variety and wish to go back to banging light-skinned Asians, where do the Chinese usually hang out here? An Indo chick I laid recently said they're usually at Dragonfly, which she hates because of their presence there lol. Is that true?

I managed to get some Korean chick back to my place, but she turned out to be worse than her pics.. Secret fatty.

As it's not got much else to offer than bars and clubs (and some nice restaurants too). You can't really walk about anywhere and there's not much else you can really do during the day other than visit a mall. Not sure how long you're going to be there for but will be interesting to see if you begin to take a shine for the place or not

Something that's frequently lost in this discussion imo seems to be that nightlife gets associated purely with clubbing. This is even more so, because clubs are the standard nightlife venue in most of Asia.

In other countries, that isn't necessarily so. There are all kinds of bars for any kind of audience, live music joints, hipster, german bier hall types, cocktail lounges, cafe/bar mixes, beer nerd venues, art galleries hosting late nights, theatre bars etc.

All these are more suited for a more introverted personality, and honestly I think for most guys in general, it is a better spot if you're not a very outgoing, good looking guy. Of course, you won't have those girls in tight dresses, done up hair and bubbly slutty personalities, which you talk about. However, once the clothes come off, you could often be surprised at a fit, young hottie, who looked a bit like a grey mouse in the hipster bar.

These kind of places generally will not be listed online and in my experience, are not all that popular with the general asian population. More for a smaller more liberal/progressive/western crowd centered around universities.

I don't know if such spots exist in Jakarta, but for me, these would be the spots to try to find if I wasn't into clubbing, but still wanted nightlife.

Plenty of those spots exist in Jakarta, well at least the more low key bar options. Just they're not necessarily your best option for picking up if you're in town for just a week or two, playing the percentages wise.

Senopati is full of decent options for bars & restaurants ranging from the lower key speakeasys to the more lively. The only recognizable 'club' style venue would be Leon, which would likely fall more into the lively bar rather than club category anyway. A lot tend to have live bands on as well depending on the day. I would check out the likes of Monty's, Lola and Proof there.

Also in Pacific Place, which isn't too far from Senopati you have The Dutch, Cork & Screw, Mr Fox, Super Loco Potato Head.

For over towards the Menteng area, there is Liquid Exchange and Bluegrass

Given the popularity of folk staying in Thamrin (thanks to this datasheet) then check out Cork & screw at plaza Indo or Social House, Paulaner Brauhaus & Djournal at Grand Indo I guess

The laid back or midweek barscene isn't so much my bag however, perhaps if I lived there or was ever visiting midweek then it would be something I would check out more. However I know there's a few Jakarta regulars on here where that is much more there scene so perhaps they can chime in

Jakarta100bars is still a good resource to research the above mentioned names and perhaps a few others which might suit your tastes

I think even these 'low key' places aren't that good for introverted people or pick up.
These are mainly sit down places, and approaching would be difficult.

It would be more appropriate to go to these places with a date.

For clubs just find some wingmen and you are set. But, if you really don't like clubs, there isnt much in terms of pick up wise. You could probably go to some low key places with a social circle if you find any.

Not me, but others might.

However I recommend perhaps doing a bit of an intro in the intro section and/or perhaps reaching out by PM to Jakarta regulars, provide a bit of background about yourself etc.

Otherwise it's very unlikely anyone is going to be keen to meet up with a newbie with a one sentence post

Pulled a girl yesterday with hair growing out of her nips. Literally had hair coming out of her nipples. Would say she was a 7/10 otherwise. Nice slim, tanned body. Super cute face. Got her back to my place, her bra came off, and there it was... much to my dismay lol. I've seen this sort of thing with Chinese and Viet girls before - light mustaches, or hair on their feet etc, but didn't think this was a thing in the rest of SEA.

Is this at all common here? Haven't seen it with other girls so far thankfully. I almost wanted to vomit tbh.

Girls not shaving their legs etc is more common in this part of the world (Thailand, Phils) than in other places. It's just more accepted. And these aren't ladyboys. Yeah it's something to watch out for. I wouldn't say it's "common", but it's more common than you'd be comfortable with Undecided

You can try calling them on it but they may start to argue with you. "I don't want to maintain shaving my legs" and so on. In which case not much can be done but move on.

I haven’t ever seen spider nipples on an Asian, Just once on a Italian girl. Not fun to find when you pop the bra off haha.
