Taipei vs Manila
Any thoughts on Taipei vs Manila for a handful of days at the end of September? The weather in both cities looks pretty bad but I'm looking to have some fun in between a trip to Japan and returning to the states. I've been to both cities in the winter but was too sick while in Taipei to really fully take stock.

Apples to oranges comparison in my opinion. Taipei requires more effort (a lot of effort for quality) and mandarin skill definitely doesn't hurt. In Manila you simply have to show up and throw token game.

No comparison. You will likely fail with a short time and Taipei.

It's not the Philippines where you just have to show up.
