Been applying some of the advice I got here to good results. My chest is still developping very slowly, but my overall body is in much better shape.
Wore tank top/wife beaters out these last couple of days, and I have got great feedback. Girls would linger their hands on my arms and biceps. Some asked me outright if I lift.
Take it as a green light. What are your responses to compliments/remarks on your body? Do you take their arms and put them on your chest/biceps "you wanna feel it?" i.e sexualize the interaction? Do you go cocky/funny "No, all I do is eat McDonalds and party overnight"?
I plan to make the best out of greenlight like this, so would wanna hear some thoughts.

I think that what has to be avoided at all cost is stating that you go to the gym. Girls don't really realize that you have no other choice than to hit the gym if you want a nice body.
IMHO, if they ask, it's better to say that you often play tennis or whatever, and that you do some pushups/abs daily to keep in form.
Concerning your question, I would agree with Nascimento, I think the best way to "maximize" it is to downplay. Getting cocky is fine but I would avoid taking her hand and putting it on your chest. Too blatant
Finally, I have a question to ask, I read about some people writing that wearing tank top/wife beaters is key when you're starting to get fit. I am more an aficionado of having a fit t-shirt, rather than showing off in a wife beater, that makes it too blatant. Did you get more positive reactions from wearing the wife beater vs t-shirt ?

oh ok Im surprised everyone thinks "thanks" its enough. Usually reading blog post/forum we see all sort of cocky funny lines raining down on the girls. Chalk it up to being context dependent then.

Yeah I do get more attention from wife beaters actually. Trust me I dont like them anymore than you do, in France its associated with gay truck drivers lol.
I only ever wear fitted vneck and very very fitted dress shirt. As much as I dont like it wife beater gets more attention than vneck and vneck more than dress shirt. I once wear a very tight vneck to dance and I basically had girls approaching me, which normally just doesnt happen. These last couples of days wearing this black wife beater has girls pawing on me. Guys look at me with the high five/respect bro eyes and girls are just warmer than normal.
And to be quite honest, you look damn well better in a wife beater For a rugged/rakish look pair with boots and leather jacket. Bad boy/r selected material right there.
Gotta thanks soup for the style suggestion

"My glutes are better even" - if they're touching my chest / arms / shoulders. True statement btw and it usually turns into a back & forth arse grabbing session under the disguise of my dropping knowledge on glute training.
I agree with someone above. Downplay your efforts in the gym. Make it sound like you just happen to have a nice body while barely working for it. This is one of those areas where men and women have exact opposite reactions. Men respect me more when they know that I work really hard for my strength and physique. Women immediately think (some just ask outright) I must have no social life and have no time left for a girlfriend / relationship (both false obviously) and probably assume that I have bad genetics and can only achieve with hard work.
Women don't know that muscles require hard work in the gym, and frankly they don't want to know. Just like game they want to think you're just a lucky guy who's born with muscles.
It doesn't apply to everything though, being very dedicated to something makes you attractive (piano for example), just not muscles and game, they see it as trying too hard to be attractive.
So yeah, downplay your work in the gym, but from my experience just saying "Thanks" often doesn't work as almost every time they respond with something like "Where did you get that?"
But if you're doing martial arts, mention that.
Her : *Compliment*
You : "Thanks"
Her : "Where did you get that?"
You : "Well I do judo, so it may be that"

That one I have a very hard time believing, both from observation and personal experience.
They might be - and should best remain - clueless about men's self improvement in terms of game, style, body language etc., but I'm quite sure most girls are familiar enough with the concept of exercise to know that a noticeably muscular guy is hitting the gym on a fairly regular basis (they've been witness to it since their mid-teens when some of the boys started hitting the weights for the first time).
And I doubt many of them see it as a negative thing (unless he lives and breathes for the gym and little else) as lifting - and many, but certainly not all, types of sports and exercise in general - is an obviously masculine activity.
Hell, some girls even like going to the gym with their boyfriends (never quite understood the opposite though, unless it's just to show off the new, hopefully fit girlfriend).

The social order is that men approach, men talk to women. Men compliment women.
When a chick breaks that iron clad law it means something.
A chick goes out of her way to compliment you, she wants to talk to you because she finds you physically and possibly sexually attractive.
But keep in mind, just because she finds you attractive, doesn't mean she's ATTRACTED.
It's like seeing a Ferrari, doesn't make you want to punch the driver in the face and steal it.
"nice muscles"
"you're cute"
"nice car"
"nice shirt"
"nicely done"
"I love your hair, your skin"
"come here often"
"Do you know where I can find a pet store"
^= "hey come talk to me, and impress me"
^^to the player this means - "go talk to her, and get her to jump through my hoops, instead of my jumping through hers"

WIA- For most of men, our time being masters of our own fate, kings in our own castles is short. Even those of us in the game will eventually succumb to ease of servitude rather than deal with the malaise of solitude

So did you get dumped when a girl saw your gym card or something?

I'm sure that some women (who date bodybuilders) are acquainted with the concept that being large and muscular takes a long time in the gym and sense in the kitchen but that's a superficial understanding at best. The very small minority of women who compete in strength sports have a better idea of what goes on behind the scenes.
I'm sure it's disenchanting for these particular women to see Batman tinkering in his garage to change the oil on the batmobile in between shifts of scaring the ever-loving bejeezus out of Gotham's criminal underbelly (God, Carl, you're going to the gym on Christmas??! We're supposed to have my mother over for dinner!) but for most women they just see men as they are presently and have no understanding what goes on behind the scenes, this includes game and lifting. Women just are not interested in that sort of thing.

For every girl who comes up to you and compliments you there are 10 others who are eye fucking you and you don't notice them.
If you are muscular and have a low bodyfat % you will tend to notice this more if you aren't a complete idiot. Like most gym rats are when it comes to women.
Whatever you do, do not go on about your routine. Just mention it fits with your goals as a rock climber/wind surfer/rugby player etc.

In general, the female understanding of the effort it takes for men to acquire an impressive physique is similar to a child's understanding of what his father does at work. For example, if the father is a carpenter, the child will think that "being a carpenter" is simply a matter of hammering nails and sawing boards, or if the father is a writer, then "being a writer" is simply a matter of sitting at a computer and mashing the keys. All the additional layers of complexity, difficulty and mastery are hidden from the child's eyes. He can only see the surface. Similarly, women understand that men "go to the gym", but they have no understanding of the actual effort that men must put out to make size and strength gains. They simply equate "going to the gym" (as in the, the act of physically transporting oneself to the gym a few times a week and staying there for an hour or so) with the outcome of "being in shape". This is the reason why you see so many totally out of shape women at gyms going through the motions on a stairmaster or lifting 5 lb. dumb bells. They literally don't comprehend the difference between "going to the gym" and "working out". They don't understand the amount of effort that is required.
"For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” - Romans 8:18
few weeks ago I was sitting at a bar having a beer with a friend. We are both in pretty good shape, was wearing t-shirt etc and 2 chicks came to us and they just couldnt handle it. Started asking questions if we were in the army, why we have so big muscles etc. It was pretty fun actually.
I would use the compliment and try to escalate from there. I have said on multiple occasions that a good body helps pique a lizard's sexual interest and brings you closer to having sex with her.
If she says, "You have a nice body or nice arms", you can say "Thanks, what's your name?"
She says "Debbie"
You say "Great, I'm Moma, let's go for a drink later on, there's this margarita I want to try"
Anything to convert it to a date. Often the compliments are an invitation for you to make your move.
It's nice to be opened as opposed to being the opener.
