Starting a TV network
I've always dreamed of running my own TV network. I was thinking something along the lines of RoK on TV with an evening news program that brings back the classic muckracking of the early 20th centuries. Be a thorn in the side of feminists, progressives, and oligarchs. Have a bunch of red pill like shows that tote the line. Shows like Tosh.o, Brickleberry, South Park, and American Dad. Maybe throw in an original sitcom too.

What does it take to get a TV network started?

Do you have a youtube channel? Seems like that'd be a good start.

You could probably do it far cheaper. Hulu & Netflix are basically networks with original programming.

Also hypothetically speaking, I might be able to help with such an endeavor. DM if serious.

This thread has potential to be quite interesting. A "Red Pill" oriented TV channel or youtube channel would be cool to see.

A YouTube channel would be cheapest, but also quite profitable. As a matter of fact, I'm working on an audio drama with red pill undertones that would fit in quite well in such a channel.

RE: Starting a TV network
Well a crucial aspect of owning a Television network would be advertisement. 30-50% of anything you watch on TV is comprised of it, so establishing some advertisers, preferably those whose products/services align with the ideals of both you and your consumer base, will enable some degree of sustainence. Others have suggested different types of medias but regardless of what media you settle on adverstisement will always be imperative.

Also, the expanse/subscriptions of the redpill, to the best of my knowledge, are fairly limited within the total population. Most guys are currently content watching shows like modern family and comfort programs such as that. Are you just trying to appeal to the societal pocket of Red-pill thinkers or the general population?

But overall I like the idea, it would be the antithesis to Lifetime.

RE: Starting a TV network
I'll be honest and say I can't stand modern family. Only the dad, vergara, and the kids redeem the show. Phil needs to grow a pair and that skinny gay guy needs to shut up.

There has been a general push towards less comfort shows. Look at Adult Swim and some of the TV shows on Comedy Central. Workaholics, Brickelberry, and Tosh.0 all come to mind.

I figure give them full artistic freedom to do whatever they want. Let the SJW outrage bring curious eyeballs, and see where it all falls once it is said and done.

I also heard that a few professional sports players are looking for an outlet that let's them be men. Maybe make some friends with NFL owners and kill ESPN? I don't know all conjecture at this point. But do you guys see where i'm going with this?

@RCP, yes the antithesis of Lifetime is a good comparison. I was really hoping to bring in a muck racking like TV network whose content mocks progressive attitudes. I remember reading that back during its premier Daniel Tosh's show Tosh.0 had a huge following of male viewers 18-35 watching the show. As we all know, this advertising block is highly coveted because most men don't waste their time watching TV. While it doesn't have to be overtly red pill a la RoK, it should still have that zest that makes male viewers stick around.

I basically never want to see a Phil Dunphy bumbling idiot father on TV ever again.

RE: Starting a TV network
I like the idea of a YouTube channel. Especially if you can produce TOP QUALITY programming. I think we need to list top quality YouTube channels, study them in terms of cost for quality, content and what niche they're going for.

I'll list one: VICE and Motherboard by VICE

http://www.youtube.com/user/MotherboardT...VVSntdBR6g

Motherboard is a show that has great 12-20 minute news clips. The camera quality, editing and music selection are all top notch but can be duplicated.

If we're going to do red pill it has to be pretty. Meaning we're not going to attract people with some of the harsher realities. For instance we can do a special on false accusations & the severity of it. We could find people who you wouldn't think would be against it like women who were feminist but has sons who went through it and now question is what they fought for having the opposite effect in which they intended.

I've always wanted to do an actual special called "what you say vs what you do" and the premise would be to catch DESIRABLE & single girls in their beta loving speak but alpha fucking ways. They must have answered a questionnaire including "it's hard finding a good guy" or "I just can't seem to find someone nice" This would be tricky but I would offer them 1K or more to "delve" into their lives. At first I would have them tell me about the kind of guy they are looking for and have them run their hamster wheel and then immediately say in order to get this money you have to unlock your phone give us full access, unlock all of your social media and emails and we're going to find out if what you say is true. I know for a fact that it's tons of actual nice beta men sitting in their inbox, unanswered text and ignored phone calls. While I can almost guarantee the actual guy they're fucking and or chasing would be alpha. She'll have no time to get her phone or laptop back to "clean stuff up" in order to get the money she must give us immediate access to everything. I know most women wouldn't go for this but everybody has a price. And this visual, done in a professional and non aggressive manner would certainly strike a chord.

Overall I like the idea of a YouTube TV network. But it has to be done right

RE: Starting a TV network
Starting a satellite TV channel does not seem to cost much, I know some channels in the Middle East which seem to operate with very little money.

If you've ever flipped through channels with an open satellite tuner, you see there are like six hundred channels off of any satellite. And you can switch satellites for another six hundred. Every wacky thing in the world is on TV, so you could watch everything from Al Qaeda Jihad TV to raw hard core porn.

The problem in the USA is that the cable and home satellite dish companies control access to what channels Americans get to watch. They are gatekeepers who demand money to be included on their subscriptions.

I applaud thoughts like these. This is where real change has a chance to begin. Cheap ways (relatively) to reach millions of people can change society.

RE: Starting a TV network
How much money does a network have to pay to send it's stream to cable and satellite providers? I assume it's on per distributor basis.

If the TV network kicks off, I know a lot of producers and mixers for music. Create a small indie label and see what takes off. Maybe do films too if the money and talent are right.

Paging Christian Mcqueen and other Hollywood players...

It might be an issue to find advertisers though. The more viewers you have, the more you can charge for advertising, obviously. But how many people can you reach with such a topic? It probably depends on how "radical" the content is. Also on the type of content. For example, a show about people who got divorce raped might be informative, but I doubt that you would get a large audience for it.
