A friend from my past messaged me the other day, saying how he has been able to buy a textiles factory in East Asia, that can produce good quality pillows, mattresses etc.

I have some experience of pulling of sales and big clients in the past, with little to no resources, so he wants me to try and connect him with distributors in the U.K. However this is still relatively new territory for me, so I am turning to anyone who has previous experience before.
My questions are.



1) How is the best way to contact these distributors, aside from contacts. Turning up to the offices ? emailing them ?

2) What is the most suitable way to provide evidence that the products will be certifiable ?

3) Can this amount to a residual income ? or should it be better to ask for a fee in order to make this connection.


Any advice or previous experience would be greatly welcomed, I want to get back on board this boat.

I don't know how helpful it will be, but the 'brits get rich in china' documentary had a guy making and selling pillows. From what I remember, he flew there in person with pillows to show a potential client. Interesting doco none the less.

I've watched that documentary many times, great watch. Will check it out again
