Hey guys so I went out with this girl id met at uni a few years back. I thought the date was going well and my intention was to get a makeout at the end of the night. At the end of the night I pulled in and she turned her head somewhat and said "Wow, I didn't know this was supposed to be a date". A fuck up on my part I guess. The following texts went like this:

her: hi. I just wanted to say that i had a good time the other night but i have realised that it doesn't feel right for me for this relationship to go any further than friends. You are a nice guy and I'm sure you will make someone very happy. I can understand if you don't want to talk to me again but I didn't want to lead you on. Sorry, hope you understand.

me: thats cool it was good catching up good luck with your career.

me: (a couple days later) Are you still up for bowling?

her: hi, I am really busy at the moment sorting stuff out before I go back to school so I can't really say yes at the moment. Sorry Ill let you know if things change.

Ok so on my part I really fucked up but this chick does seem LTR which is what I'm looking for so if you have any suggestions on a restart text and any tips on where I went wrong and how to improve itd be great. Thanks

Main point: this is going nowhere, let it go. I'd bet $1,000 you'll never have sex with this girl.

Side point: is anyone else impressed with how upfront and honest she was? She didn't even try the tired "let's-just-be-friends", she just straight up told him no and it's fine if he leaves for good. I'm stunned.

The weird thing was a few years ago at uni we had set up a "date" for the movies but I dogged it because I didn't think anything of it I thought it was just to chill and she was really offended by that. I guess this is her way of getting back at me. So on a final note there really is no chance of a restart?

Look...If you want one more Hail Mary pass, text her to invite her out somewhere neutral (e.g. "Hey, going to XXXX house party. There'll be awesome margaritas and me. Drop by."). The point is to get her at the same place you are, and hopefully alone. You have a 1/17450 chance that it works.

Again, it will most likely NOT work.

Like Ensam said restart text does not mean a blank slate for trying to fix a girls perception of you, it is for a girl where sexual attraction was already acknowledged by both but the timing just didn't work.

When you're not sure what a girl means, put things the other way and put yourself in her shoes: Would you tell one of your plates that gives you awesone BJs that "you'll let her know what things change because you're busy"? I think not, but if you're genuinely busy, you might do something like "This week is hard for me - how about we try next week?" or something to let her know that you're interested. What she did was a weak response that means that she's not interested.
