RE: College Football Playoff Predictions
Really? EVERYONE in the country seems to discount Florida State. Look you heard it here first: FLORIDA STATE WILL REPEAT AS CHAMPS. Bet your ass. Fact of the matter is they are the quintessential team of talented brothas who don't have to try to win.

They are probably in a toss up between them and Alabama for "talent" on both sides of the ball. And even though they have become the modern day cardiac kids here's why they will win:

1) Like my coach always said: "who's the monkey with the big nuts?" Florida fuckin state that's who. When the game is on the line these guys take it too another level period. When you couple that with the fact that they are athletically even with Bama I will give the nod to Flordia St. A lot of their ability to turn it up a notch is because of reason 2...

2) [Image: jameis-winston-funny-elite-daily1.jpg]

Jameis MOTHAFUCKIN Winston dawg. Say what you want-- dude is Brady-esque when it comes to leadership skills on the field. He could get his guys to run through a brick wall when he wants to. His game against Georgia Tech imo is an indicator of where this team is about to go: 21-30 3tds 309 yards. The dude is dialed in and I'm sure the rest of the team will follow their leader.

3) Theyre playing Oregon in the first round and....
[Image: 1c4b9ca1655369d7c8aaa17015bc30cb729e4a57...15e8a5.jpg]
SHOUT OUT TO BART SCOTT

4) This could go on number 2: quarterback battles. You have to have a superior quarterback to win the title and Winston is a better quarterback than Sims. I know you can say he's battle tested having come from the ACC but he's no hiesman trophy winner and he hasn't willed his team to victories constantly like Winston is. Imo he will be far more susceptible to folding under the pressure of what's at stake where as Jameis and the whole Florida St team seems the rise to it.

Flordia State will be taking things seriously from now on. They know they can't afford to play half the game and win like the could in the shit ACC.

Attraction and passion are non-negotiable

RE: Florida State...

1. They can absolutely get to the final and repeat. Pac 12 teams not named USC are suspect until proven otherwise. I know Oregon has that Nike money and they gave Cam Newton and Auburn a game. But like Mufasa said above, Florida State can turn it up a notch...

2. I speak with the perspective of someone who gets to hear white folks talk amongst themselves. To put it delicately, these people-some of whom really know the game and, more importantly, played the game-are not what you'd call "Jameis Winston supporters." FSU is a rarity in modern-day sports because they really have a "zero fucks given" mentality. Bad boy style. I'm not an FSU fan and never will be, but I'd really like to see the Noles win back-to-back national titles.

Overall, it's great that there is finally a playoff.

My mind says Oregon but #5 doesn't know what it feels like to lose in college

Ponder that for a second...29 straight and they got everybody's best shot. Can't bet against them just yet

In the 2nd game, Alabama ain't guaranteed a win. Ohio State has the most momentum of all 4 teams. Still Alabama too much speed in the end.

FSU nips 'Bama for the repeat...maybe

Not buying FSU. They won't be able to just not show up for the entire 1st half and expect to win against the other teams in the top 4.

But if they play a complete game then maybe it's a different story.

Does this not say sports? I'm pretty sure it's in the right section.

Sports, weightlifting, etc is more for sports you play and keeping in good shape. Watching college football is entertainment and I'm guessing belongs in "Everything else."

I think Oregon does it tonight.

Oregon got their doors blown off.

If not for 4 turnovers by Ohio State, things would have gotten extremely embarrassing for Oregon.

The REAL national championship was last week in the Sugar Bowl.

Man, Ohio State took out Oregon. Can't doubt a coach like Urban Meyer.

The OSU Michigan rivalry is about to go to another level (which is really saying something re: those two schools) with Meyer at OSU and crazy Harbaugh brother at Michigan.

Not really. Oregon shot itself in the foot by two key drops early. Oregon doesn't have that happen it has momentum and the score would have liked on quickly and been very demoralizing. The one on 3rd and just a few yards and that wide open 30 yard one. It was cool though to see the playoff system finally in place.

But respect to OSU. Always liked urban Meyer and to do it with the 3rd string about is great stuff. Let's hope he doesn't become jamarcus russell.

RE: College Football Playoff Predictions
I get mad sometimes at College Ball. You see how much money was swirling around that game the other night? It looked bigger then a Super Bowl. ESPN paid $7.3 Billion in indirect and direct money to the NCAA to broadcast this College Playoff. $7.3 Billion will be circulated mostly among the big power conference and schools and the men playing last night get zero of it. Its getting ridiculous. These men need to be compensated, I get sour watching big time NCAA games because I feel they are cheating and preying on these men. They ask these men to play 23 weeks of football each year and give them nothing for it aside from a free "Education", a education in some wack stuff like 'New Communications" or some simple BA. For the 5% of NCAA players that make it to the NFL they are okay, but the rest.. after.. then what?
