Wanted to put this up here for anyone else who is experiencing the problem of being stuck in the mobile version on both their computer and mobile device and cannot switch out of it. I had been searching for a while using the search function and even creating posts for an answer--today I have one. I had received a lot of suggestions from the forum users about how to get out of the mobile version but none of the suggestions solved my problem. So here it is.


Symptoms:
--Stuck in mobile version: blue banner at the top.
--Cannot like posts. Cannot see who is browsing the certain threads. Cannot quote. Cannot post youtube videos but only the links.
--When on a computer you are still stuck in mobile version.
--Cannot upload a avatar for your account
--When you log out the Forum turns into a different version that you have never seen before that allows you to browse the forum for users, look at their liked posts, and a ton of other features that you did not realize existed
--When you go to click "switch to full version" at the bottom of the page it returns you to the mobile version (blue banner) and not this one^^^
--Clearing the cookies doesn't work

Okay. Hopefully by the time you've found this you've discovered how to imbed shit in posts what "myBB" is. Basically you are stuck in "myBB mobile" version of the website instead of the default version. Heres how to switch to the full version of the forum.

Open the User Control Panel at the top of the page-->open edit options-->scroll down till you reach the "other options" section at the bottom of the page-->you'll see the option selected on "board style" to be "myBB gomobile" change that to "default"

Select the second one. When I selected the "use default" option it would not fix the problem because my default was the mobile version (i think). So pick the second "default" option.

Now click "update options"-->scroll to the bottom of the page and click "switch to full version"

I know right! That shit was really tweeking me out. I read some old thread by roosh about the features of the "new forum" and was so confused. Enjoy breaux!

Just bumping this because I finally fixed this problem and if anyone else has it, the correct fix is in the OP.

Thanks for this info. So an embarrassing newbie question of my own. How do I embed a GIF that's not already in the palate of GIFs and emojis available in the forum?

Right click and select "copy image url", then paste it in between [img] and [/img]. If you quote a post you get a behind the scenes look at how the magic happens in the text editing box
