Is even living with a woman bad for men's lives?
First, I'm not talking about marriage and there are no children involved, just living with a gf. I've started to think that living with a woman is detrimental to a man's goals. Whether you want to improve yourself, earn more money, or just become better than the average guy on the street, I think living with a woman is a burden and not a benefit.
She may be a great girl, and feminine, but there is something about this situation that seems to make things worse the vast majority of the time. What are the reasons for this, and do you guys agree?
Having her there makes getting sex too easy. You lose the freedom to bring other girls to your house. You're always doing things with her. You are more exposed to her daily trivial problems and emotional swings. All of these things sap your energy, and make you less ambitious, less hungry, and less motivated to get shit done just for you. They are like children, and invariably our paternal and protective instincts kick in and have to deal with them.
There is only a finite amount of willpower and energy in each of us, our daily life meter is not infinite. Energy expended on them is energy that can't be used for ourselves.
I'm not saying that achieving all of what we strive for suddenly becomes impossible when she's living with you, but she becomes the proverbial ball and chain, though some are heavier and some lighter. Maybe this is all part of some grand evolutionary adaptation in us to encourage the formation of family units. I suppose in the mythical tribal times we always allude to, we lived in family units, so a woman's BS could be diffused to other women and men more readily than it can be today.
Is this an *inherent* part of male/female nature when placed into this living context? That's what I'm curious about.

I've done it several times and it depends on the girl, honestly. I've had bad experiences where the neediness and clinginess lose their charm and zap your energy but I've also had instances where I was able to focus on my goals, resting assured that my needs, like home cooked meals, sex on tap, clean house, social calendar managed, dry cleaning picked up, etc, were all done efficiently by her.

RE: Is even living with a woman bad for men's lives?
I'm just gonna leave this tidbit by el mechanico here...
Quote:I'm 43 and don't LTR. I've barely done it in all these years. Why?
I thought and think I figured it out. These women want to destroy the sanctity of my home. That's it. My house runs like a swiss watch and it just can't be. They have to try and fuck it up. Every single one of them. Even my kids mom didn't last 60 days at my place before she tried turning into a dysfunctional house. She wanted to tear a wall down and build a giant laundry room on top of my back deck just because my machines are stackable. Mind you this woman dresses out of the dryer every day.
I watch this unfold weekly and it's the same shit over and over..Here are the steps..
1. Meet girl
2. Bang girl
3. She hangs out
4. She fucks with your food and adds no value to the kitchen
5. She complains about what I eat
6. She wants her friends to stop by
7. She starts talking loudly on her phone and helps other peoples drama
8. She gets involved with the drama
9. She needs to bring it to my place
10. She asks me to get involved slowly. Example..Donnas boyfriend just trashed her car can you look at it? Or my sister is coming over she got fired etc..
11. I stop letting her come over
12. She feels rejected
13. She stalks me
14. I cut contact
I can't tell you guys how many times this has gone down.
In closing ..If you want to ruin your life let your girl come over or give her a house key.

I have yet to let a woman move into the sanctity of my home. There's been one or two that I'd let sleep over on a regular basis, but the thought of having one share my primary living space leaves me uncomfortable. I sleep when I want to. I eat what I want to, when I want to. Some days I'll watch Netflix for hours on end. Some weeks, the TV isn't on at all. If I come home from a hard day's work and just want to get lost in a video game, I can - there are no other distractions. I fail to see what letting a woman move in with me will add to my life.

RE: Is even living with a woman bad for men's lives?
Living with women is fine, I like fresh clean linnen, an endless supply of clean clothes and a neat and tidy home. So far the various women in my life have done this far better than I could by myself.
I cook because most women didn't learn how to and are usually shit at it, I keep the lawns, she the garden.
Always have a workshop with fridge and bar stools for the mates if you want cerebral stimulation and humour in your life
I always make sure there's a spare bedroom, if she fucks me off too much, she goes there for the night, no questions plus the mates can stay over if they get too pissed
If you set the dynamics right at the very begining you won't have any issues, never change mid stream. If she doesn't swallow, fuck her off immediately as its a sign of poor fucking etiquette
I hope this helps

If you owned the house, had her move in, a few months later should could be kicking you out of your own house if she made up some assault story.
???If you own the house before she moves in...you can kick her out. It isn't marital property. She has no claim to live there.
PS--i don't believe in living in community property states.
If she can show she has been living there for some time, you can't just kick them out. You have to evict them.
As I posted up thread, I learned that the hard way when a chick secretly moved in some of her stuff without me knowing.
We had just started dating and she would stay over every night which was fine with me.
I was fixing up the main bedroom in the place so I wasn't in there all the time. I found out later she had put some of her clothes and stuff in that room closet which wasn't being used.
Well, we had a falling out and she actually knew the laws about this stuff. Crazy chick but the sex was good. haha
I consulted with my attorney and she said I would need to evict if she could prove she was living there. Luckily I got her out without needing to do so but if she had been receiving mail there I would most definitely need to go through eviction.
It depends on where you live. It isn't a national federal law or anything and it is the same regardless if it is a man or women.Don't let a guy move in either. But they usually base residency based on address on drivers license, and other gov't correspondence. Very hard for here to prove your residence is her residence if her tax forms show otherwise. Just getting a cable bill isn't usually enough.
What that does though is keeps the cops out..maybe that is what you meant?
Obviously cops ask her if she lives there and she shows a bill..they will walk away and tell you to make a complaint(evict). So it isn't that she might have rights , it is just that the police won't get involved so you are left going to court.
However nothing stopping you from changing your locks, etc. Or even throwing her things out of your house if she can't prove residency or show a lease.
In any case that is why I have no desire to rent real estate. Not only is it a job but it is a job where you might not get paid. Here where I live even after eviction most don't pay due rent. So it is like 6 months of being unpaid.

RE: Is even living with a woman bad for men's lives?
As someone who lived with an ex-girlfriend in the past, I would say, "Yes."
Roissy wrote this a while back, but living with a woman removes any and all semblance of mystery. Remove the mystery and you might as well start the countdown...
Now, living with a woman can be good so long as you're able to get out unscathed (pregnancy, legal issues, etc.) because it's kind of like a red pill, real life, master's degree. You'll pay for it in time, atrophied muscles, ambitions, and sex drive. You'll have to - in some ways - start over when it ends.
At the same time, I made up for lost time in my blue pill days when it comes to learning about a woman's true nature. There were trade-offs, but I learned a lot.
For all the advice pro or con, western vs. ee, sometimes you just need to find out for yourself. Suffice it to say, if you live with a woman... you'll find out.
Lastly, any woman you move in with is looking for marriage. Maybe not now, but make no mistake that is the plan. By taking action to move in with her, you are signaling to her that you're looking for marriage as well.

^^^ This.
I've spent more time living with women then without, from marriage and several long term girfriends, and when you're living with a girl that has her shit together, and you always have dinner cooked when you get home, she brings you lunch and a bj, it's a great. Rollover sex is my favorite kind.
But, when you choose wrong, or more likely, you think getting laid and living with a chick are the same thing and you lose hand, well, she'll become a miserable cunt that makes your life just as miserable. But, you're still guaranteed

So, there's that.
