Hello guys, I haven't been on here for a while, been busy with life and making money. I just recently moved to Edmonton, Canada - for work of course, cuz why else would anyone move here. I am a black guy interested in some white chicks. I would like to know where is the best bars, pubs, clubs, sporting games that black guys can go to pick up white girls with phat assess? I haven't really explored Edmonton yet so any suggestion would be appreciated.

If you can pull the 'coffee shop' look then there are a lot of places very near U of A and Whyte Ave that are good.

Lots of coffee shops, yoga studios, health shops, ice cream bars, student food places and of course U of A. They are busy now and in another month the river valley will start lighting up with the running, crossfit, fitness type girls too. Best approach would be a sports group (climbing wall/yoga), side job (bartender/coffee shop) or daygame/tinder. One place in particular is the outside volleyball field near U of A and Whyte Ave that has insane talent in the summer. If you want Whooty thats the spot right there ha.

As for clubs I know Red Square has a lot of girls who are into black guys Maybe some of the other members can chime in on that cause I have never actually been there but have known a few girls who like black guys who always talk about that being the spot to go for them.

Where the red lines are. That V triangle shape is roughly where that volleyball place is in summer.

If you have the time I'd also check out Calgary for a few days. That city will be paradise if you're looking for white girls specifically.

Man its too bad that I'm not in Etown now to show you around, actually fuck that, its great that I"m not in that city now because its probably cold as fuck there! I'll be back from south America in April anyway, but until then, here's what I know that may help you out:

General info: Edmonton isn't the nicest Canadian city, that is well known, but it has a strong economy (which has probably been hurting lately as its an oil town) and a young population of people moving there from all over Canada (myself included) and indeed the world. There is a Jamaican community there and strong west Indies presence in the city as well as many people from various African countries, many who have relocated there after living in Canadian cities such Montreal and Toronto where the economies have been weaker over the previous years. I've met and worked with people from Senegal, Angola, DRC, Somalia, Ethiopia, etc. There are a couple of bars and clubs that attract black crowds and that's where you'll likely find the easy white lizards looking for some stove pipe.

Bars/Clubs: Its been awhile since I' ve been to these places, probably about six months and these places always open and close, but the best one I know is Called Ebar and its down town, there was another one near Grant MacEwan college that was decent but shut down. There's another one called Diesel Ultra Lounge near the Rexall Centre on 118 ave and one up on Victoria Road but I haven't been to either. I know of a couple on 107 avenue but don't recommend them as that's where the Somali gang bangers tend to hangout and those places are a bit rough. *I have a good Nigerian friend who is very well connected in the Edmonton nightlife scene and often throws parties at communities centres, I'll see what he has to say.

If you want to mix with a whiter, younger crowd then you may do well with the local hipster/uni chicks on Whyte Ave of which there are many. The last time we hit up the Black Dog on Whyte Avenue, it filled up quickly with a bunch of young kids, the crowd is mainly uni age so 18-22 and the music was all hip-hop, they get shit faced, which is basically what the entire Whyte Ave scene is. Honestly, at 32 years old, I feel a bit old for Whyte Ave plus its generally filled with idiots who are looking to fight, only fists usually as Whyte Ave is not too rough. Downtown, around Jasper Ave is better and its a more mature crowd, but its rougher and more gangs hang out there. I like to go to shows at the Starlight room, last time I was there I saw Raekwon and Ghostface, check out the Edmonton free weekly newspaper Vue

Restaurants: Two Jamaican places come to mind, Ah Yah Mi Deh on 118 and 44 street and Iri Foods in Millwoods, check those places out and network. They also put on Reggae shows in the city, the Konshens played a show there last fall.

There's a couple of black RVF Oil Sands guys on here, hopefully they will pitch in because I know they've hit these places up as I've been there with one guy in particular and he gets a lot of love in Edmonton. Your competition is low, often fresh-off-the-boat west African dudes from Ghana or wherever who basically just stand around the clubs grabbing their dicks and drooling over girls. I've met black guys from Toronto who rave about how much they love the girls in Edmonton, but they're coming from Tdot, so maybe that isn't saying too much! Despite its shitty rep, Etown is an alright place to live as there's plenty of work there, if you can survive the brutal winter, you will enjoy the summer there it can be fun, good luck.

Well first of all, congrats on getting into the U of A law school, I know that is no easy task.

Myself and some other RVF fellas have been going out and boozing heavily over the past couple of months that I've been back and we have some intel on the Etown scene:

Studio 107: This is the new ethnic or black club or whatever you want to call it, its on 107th street and Jasper Avenue. Its ok, I really liked it the first time that we went there as the DJ was playing a lot of dance hall tunes and the place was crawling with good looking black chicks who were mostly dressed very nice. Then I went there a month ago and the crowd was kinda weird, early on there were a lot more white folks there and the DJ was playing electronic music which I don't care for then a couple of odd B-girl sets were posing on the dance floor and a photographer was taking photos of them. After midnight though the place seemed more like it did the first time I went and the DJ played dance hall again so it was all good, I recommend this place.

Knoxville: As the name suggests, this is a country bar and its attached to Studio 107, so same address. I didn't go in because I hate country music but I saw a lot of cuties in the line out side so if that music is your thing, then you may want to check it out.

Central Social Hall: Just down the avenue at 109 street and Jaspser, some guys like this place, apparently its a good pick up spot but I thought it was fucking gross and the crowd was very odd, basically a trashy representation of every ethnic group in Etown. Also, there were Chinese hookers hanging out at the bar and being very "friendly", I never experienced that before in Canada, it was weird.

On The Rocks: Again , its on Jasper avenue at about 116 street, I only hit this place up on Thurdays when its Latin night, go early on, maybe 9-10 so you can post up at a good spot near the dance floor as it gets full later on. Obviously, they play a lot of Latin tunes such as salsa and merengue, my game is to get drunk and hit on Latina women in Spanish, the talent there is decent but can be hit and miss as it attracts a very mixed crowd age wise.

As you can see, I only go to clubs downtown as its a more mature crowd and the bars on Whyte Avenue kinda suck, but there's still some decent spots to hit up there:

MKT: This place gets packed to the rafters on Thursdays for the cheap beer nights, get there early or call ahead to book a table if you're going with friends. You can get good Belgian draughts like Carolus and Delirium for $5. Very nice, large patio out back and the crowd isn't too young.

O'Byrnes: Typical Irish pub, I think Wednesday is their wing night, that place gets packed too and the patio is a decent size.

Sugar Bowl: Up on 109th near the bridge, its a hipster joint but a decent palce to go for a few beers, they have a great selection there and the food is pretty good.

That's about all I have for night time suggestions, honestly Edmonton doesn't ahve great night life especially if you're coming from a bigger city such as Toronto or Montreal but the locals tend to be pretty friendly. Late August and early September should be a good time for boozing on Whyte Ave when all of the students get back. Here's some day time suggestions:

104 street Market: I hit that up last Saturday, it was nice, various food vendors and people selling locally produced things.

Legislative Grounds: I then walked here and sat on the grass and smoked a big reefer with my buddy, there's people hanging out there on weekends and after work hours, pretty nice spot to chill.

Millcreek Pool: This is very close to my place, I went there twice last week with Atlantic and we just hung out, went swimming and checked out the girls walking around in bikinis and tanning, it cost $7 to get in but we just walked right in and no one said anything.

Hawlerak Park: Nice big park with a fair size pond, BBQ pits and picnic tables, bring a frisbee down and hang out, smoke dope, whatever. Make sure you check out the Heritage Festival there in August (1st to 3rd), I highly recommend that: http://www.heritage-festival.com/

Fringe Fest: August 13-23, Its an alternative arts festival, the 2nd largest in the world, I don't care for it too much as there's too many freaks and weirdos but it draws big crowds: https://www.fringetheatre.ca/festival_2015.php

Thats about it off the top of my head, some of the Etown RVF guys know more about the night life scene, so hopefully they'll chip in, I'm often out of town working but get in touch when you reach Edmonton and we'll hit up the ave for some drinks.

Good coffee shops for running some game:

Block 1912 on Whyte Ave. Lots of space and most of the customers hang around for a while. Comfy couches and usually not too full.

Remedy Cafe I am taking about the one on 8631 109 St. Lots of Uni girls and always busy. Will be a certain amount of feminists and hipsters (like any cafe really).

Second Cup [Upstairs in Chapters Book Store] On Whyte Ave and inside a popular book store. Great for a constant stream of girls and also to have a instant date.

Not exactly 'freaky bitches' but some of those nerdy book girls need a good fuck and can suck a mean dick.

Awesome, definitely down to meet up. I'm heading up there for August 1 and I'm currently scoping out a place. I've narrowed down to Garneau/old strathcona, Grandin, and somewhere close to Jasper along the LRT line up to central station. Out of those three areas logistically, which is best for gaming in your opinion? I will be spending a lot of time at school so I will daygame there, but in terms of swooping, taking girls home etc.

yeah I bumped the wrong thread, didn't search first, although i won't say no to freaky bitches. going into a pretty dry and conservative profession here so the bookish university girls are what i'm aiming for. going to avoid law school women like the plague.

^ Under 25 stay south of the river, older maybe go north to Jasper.

I think Jasper has a better average of girls but its a slightly older professional crowd. Last two times I have been out there, On the Rocks and Society, I have gotten numbers of cute foreign girls. Whyte is probably the easier place to live but has a lot more hipster style girls and more Uni style partying. Depends on your tastes and age.

Garneau/old Strath are both close to whyte and decent places for street game during the summer. Logistically, I like Jasper Ave better for nightlife, and would say that a place around that area is prime. You have to also understand that Jasper Ave is like 101 Ave and Whyte is 87th, they're right across the river on 109th street and take maybe 5 minutes by car to get to one or the other.

If you have the money and also work in town check out some of the yoga clubs too or rock climbing. Lots of talent and a slow burner for meeting some cute girls. Personally I have always done better with daytime stuff in Edmonton as I think girls are a lot more approachable and much more willing to give you a chance to run some game. Nightlife here has less of a ROI. Some guys might have different experiences on that though.

I'm north of 25 so I think Jasper sounds like a better bet right now; i'll be spending plenty of time south of the river anyway, and i'm looking for that "fuck this i'm going home" feeling whenever i leave school. Are either of you currently in Edmonton? Would be down for a drink when I touch down and get settled a bit.

A lot of good info from some high rep guys who surprisingly still live in Edmonton. I prefer Grandin or Victoria Promenade to live over any other area in the city. There is nothing wrong with Garneau/Old Strathcona, but you will appereciate living in Grandin especially if you snag an apartment/condo anywhere near 97-100 ave and 110-114 st; excellent logistics for everything. If you can find a unit in Grandin Green (9708 110st), jump on it. The building is solid and the location is prime
