Wilkes McDermid, food blogger suicide
Wilkes McDermid, a London mini-celebrity food blogger jumped off a building after writing a final blog post:
https://wilkes888.wordpress.com/2015/02/...-everyone/
and the reasons for his suicide:
"The reason for my death is simple. I have concluded that in the realm of dating and relationships the primary characteristics required for men are as follows.
Height: above 5ft10
Race: huge bias towards caucasian and black
Wealth: or other manifestation of power
From my observations and research it appears that you need two of the three criteria for success with very few exceptions. What does this mean it means that it’s “game over” for me. By choosing to depart early, all I am doing is to accelerate the process of natural selection whilst saving myself a great deal of long term pain in the process."
https://wilkes888.wordpress.com/2013/02/...e-you-all/
Of course, this is probably statistically true and I respect this guy's suffering and decision but I wonder if he could not have leveraged quite easily his celebrity (as an "other manifestation of power") to get a nice white girl that he was apparently longing for. He wrote that he observed 10'000 Asian/Caucasian couples and that 95% of the time it was a white guy with an Asian girl.
Something that struck me while watching the first picture of him that popped up on google is his very bad style. His body language also looks quite beta. Both things are not so hard to improve...
What a waste. RIP

RE: Wilkes McDermid, food blogger suicide
What's most unfortunate is that there are no readily available resources out there to help you when a man is in dire straits like this.
There is no counselor that says, "look, you're a great guy, you have a lot of integrity and do something that means a lot to a lot of people. Women are just women and don't measure your own value with your success with women. If you want success with women here's what you do...."
Instead all the counseling propagates more brainwashing that the value of a man is based on his woman and that the reason women don't find him attractive is because he's not sensitive enough. Both of which are total BS.

If he would have spent half as much energy on game as he did food blogging, he could have at least had a mini-harem of 6s. Enough to satisfy his yearnings for female contact.
But of course, game is pua and pua is creepy and creepy makes girls uncomfortable and girls being uncomfortable is illegal. I believe the stigma against game is strong enough to keep men away from the tools that would drastically improve their lives and happiness.

Whether it's suicide, shooting up a school, or leaving Europe to join ISIS, more and more signs are showing the sexual market is beginning to crash for the average man.

Being a food blogger, can you imagine the SJW cunts this guy was exposed to online and in real life on a daily basis? No wonder his brain exploded when it couldn't reconcile what he observed.
A wasted life when he could have just become a travel food blogger in SE asia.

This. Places like RVF are so demonized by the people who would have been in a position to guide him-not just counselors but friends, family-that something that could literally save his life was not even an option.

To say someone is weak because he is unable to improve himself because he is unable to completely by himself is also ignorant. 99,9% percent of people need a support group to help them on the way and as I mentioned in the second post in this thread society doesn't provide "real" support groups that help a man to be a man.

I don't get why these guys even consider suicide an option. Worse comes to worst, you can always live just to make the right people miserable.

This is very sad. So unnecessary.
As has been said here before, game and self-improvement saves lives.
If this guy had fought back intelligently and constructively against society--the society that does want to keep us down, marginalize us, and demoralize us--he might have been able to turn his depression around.
He might have embraced self-improvement, physical fitness, game, and travel. He should have joined our little secret society here.
Instead, he abandoned himself to despair.
It should be a lesson to all of us. No matter how bad it gets, don't you ever give up. Ever. Everyone's luck changes eventually, if he can just stay in the game long enough.

Seriously. I've never understood it either. Even if my life consisted of being a grocery store clerk, living with a couple roommates, playing nintendo, and jerking off, I think I could be pretty content with that. Better than eternal darkness.

While I'm the first to say that game and the manosphere are unfairly demonized--and that poor guys like this blogger are the collateral damage of that characterization-- we're also partly to blame. Guys like us are the inheritors of the practical, non-commercial, regular-guy self-improvement (game) mantle--the best, and maybe only, alternative to salesy Youtubers with actresses in their "real daygame" videos and expensive coaching packages for sale. Yet we've lost sight of the important things.
Instead of spending so much time and energy talking about the apocalyptic "fall of civilization," the life-and-death struggle with "Social Justice Warriors," how "Muslim infiltration" is destroying "Western Civilization," and that restaurants being allowed to deny black people service is the height of the "free market working as it should," we should be focusing on reaching guys like this. Rather, I find us (rather foolhardily) trying to make some kind of wholesale ideological change from the comfort of our laptops. It may feel good to read and say something so unpopular and so verboten, but that short-term contrarian pleasure is siphoning energy--and, more importantly, sympathetic hearts and minds--from our little corner of the world. The wrong voices are getting louder, while the more articulate and pragmatic ones are getting fainter. Don't get me wrong: there's nothing wrong with a bit of social commentary, and taking unpopular opinions; I've always supported that. But we're not doing ourselves any favors by embracing an increasingly fringe status and heavy, even angry and uninformed, tone. Some time ago, I did an AMA on the "redpill" sub-reddit. In it, I was asked what I considered to be "the manophere's biggest weaknesses going forward." I warned that giving the wrong views, or people, too much of a platform would stunt the manosphere's growth, even discredit it altogether. We might never have reached this particular poor bastard, but guys like him are our growth, and I see some of what I said coming to pass.
The way to "win" is to bring in and help the men that this Brave New World is leaving behind--not just trying to say increasingly crazier shit so that we can remain opposite of what the "Cultural Marxists," the so-called "Left", or the "SJWs" are saying. Important words are losing their meaning, and we're churning out incoherent labels faster than some of the people we hold in such low esteem.
I, for one, think we're losing focus. This is a good reminder of that.

What a shame. There is a very good chance that discovering this forum and utilizing it literally could have saved this man's life. Like another posted said, he was probably blue pill from the start, generally believed in the SJW rhetoric, and couldn't see that he had been fed spoonfuls of bullshit from the start. I'm sure that the people he sought advice from about this told him shit like "just be yourself", "love will come along when you least expect it", "women would be so lucky to find a catch like you" and other worthless feel-good garbage advice that is so prevalent in the Anglosphere. This man needed a real friend who would honestly tell him his faults, his strengths, the truth about women, and real advice that would lead to actual self-improvement, and sadly he didn't have a friend like that.

RE: Wilkes McDermid, food blogger suicide
I just went through his last posts and suicide message. I think that is about as most business-like and detached suicide note as can be. He even put down final reviews of his last meal:
Quote:Final Meal
There seems to be a fascination on ‘final meals’ with many people online… mine was a at Hawksmoor Spitalfields (400g Ribeye with a Donnington Cesear Salad, triple poked chips with lime pickle mayo side with a Coulston bassett stilton with pears and walnuts). With a Shakey Pete’s Ginger Brew, Rosso Braaida Monferrato Rossso 2009, Meantime Pale Ale, with a Diszinko Tokai
Quote:To the ladies out there, I want to be clear, I am not angry at you. You are just doing what you are genetically programmed to do. (If you don’t believe me do your own research, there are many papers out there which agree with my findings). However, what I am angry about is the continual stream of people who are trying to lie to me. That is unacceptable.
I don’t want anyone to be sad for me. Knowing when you are going to die allows you to plan; it allows a freedom which many people never have.
Quote:That’s all folks, in the words of Dr Seuss, “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”
Wilkes McDermid 03-Feb-2015
Somehow it's all extremely sad, since the main culprit for this was the current dating market, the Blue Pill mindset and his complete indoctrination in the Eliott Rodger kind of desperation. At least he just hurt himself and did it in an almost scientific manner.
If he just met anyone of us who would have pointed him to Game and put him on a program - he would be fucking and attracting girls within a couple of months. But it seems as if he read PUAHATE sites and attempted to put Blue Pill/Better Beta dating into practice. I think he was very social and was friend-zoned dozens of times.
He actually attempted to self-improve, but only along the parameters which girls told them to and the few scientific data available to him.
If he just met one of us he would be in the gym, cutting down fat, learning Game - partly being coached long-term by Asian men who have the same parameters as him. He could have groupies eating sushi off his six-pack by next year. But so it's Game over this time around - RIP Blue Pill & Feminism Victim No. 24.456.789.
He chose the wrong Pill and paid with his life:
And @Tuths - I am personally spreading the Red Pill and Game everywhere I go - some men actually see the light and start digging in. Some reject it, but I make the minimum effort. On the other hand the guy likely saw us on the internet, but rejected the wisdom within as misogyny or unrealistic as most are not short Asians. He may have even been 5ft1 like our 5000-approaches-Greenman. But even for those guys there are now short professional PUAs who are 5ft and are still demonstrating that it's possible.
But ultimately we will remain a tiny minority as the conventional dating crap is pushed 24/7 on all media, main internet channels and academia - the remaining tips certainly won't work on guys like that. There are even strong narratives built to reject Game entirely. It's not even only men like him who are victims of the feminine imperative. How many fathers and soldiers commit suicide because they are so deeply invested in the Blue Pill mindset? Feminism kills.

I never said he chose to be weak and stop self improving (I really doubt he did self improve much).
I'm talking about the act of suicide.
Then he literally attention whores his last meal and goodbye.
At least he didn't jump in front a moving truck to commit suicide and scar the driver for life...
