Hate your bulky & heavy laptop charger? Check these out!
Even though laptops have steadily got thinner and lighter and the batteries are lasting longer, the problem of that big and heavy external power supply never seems to go away...until soon.

If you are like me and travel a lot, and try to make everything as small and light as possible, I'm sure you will appreciate these links below, just be patient, they are still a few months away, and years in the making:

I initially heard about this one and was going to order:

http://finsix.com/dart/

Until I discovered this better, but so far less famous one, which I pre-ordered:

https://www.gozolt.com/

The latter is simply a much better design, with 2 extra USB's, retractable plugs, rotating body, a cable wrap system and even a built in light! I'm excited to get one, but impatient for the estimated July delivery in the USA.

These have potential to sell millions!

These are FINALLY shipping:

https://www.gozolt.com/

I pre-ordered Feb 2015 and I just noticed they charged my CC and it will ship this week, so an early Christmas present. I'm very excited to get it after such a long wait.

Every frequent traveler should get one.

They are now on amazon. com too, but already out of stock.
They are still catching up on the pre-orders they had.

That's a cool device!

I always wait until a device has had a few reviews based on real-world usage, but this device looks like a winner. Pending the good reviews, it's going on my list of things to buy for use on my travels.

On the topic of cool travel devices, and similar in class to the one listed in the OP, here's one that I will definitely be getting:

A palm sized charging device that doubles as a portable battery and A ROUTER?! Reviews are solid. Sign me up!

Thank you for the heads up on this!! I've been trying to optimize my travel gear after pouring through onebag.com, and this will definitely help.

I'm curious to see how these things hold up over time. In the video from the on their site, they say they're able to shrink the size by using faster switching. That means increased power density, and a much higher duty cycle. I wonder if that will make the electronics burn out faster. In engineering, there's always a trade off between cost, performance, and reliability. But if they used the right components, It could be the case that they hold up well. I bet the reason we haven't seen anything like this earlier is because the adapters that come with most laptops are designed to be as low cost as possible.
