"AURORA, Colo. — A fire department lieutenant was caught over the radio making lewd comments about a female EMT.

The Denver Channel reported that the incident occurred in March and was captured on a dispatch recording. The call comes in as a medical dispatch.

"This is going to be ... 73-year-old female, conscious and breathing. Looks like knee pain from a fall," said the dispatcher on the recording. "Engine 11 copies and you can show us on scene," replies the lieutenant.

The lieutenant with Aurora Fire Engine 11 then starts talking about the female EMT. His mic is left on, and everyone hears him say the EMT's first name, followed by, "The department bicycle. Everyone gets to ride her (laughs)."

He is then heard on the recording getting a warning from the dispatcher.

"Engine 11, open mic on Tac 2," the dispatcher said.

The lieutenant goes on to mention a female ranking officer by name in a derogatory way.

"She was the top dog there," the lieutenant said.

The dispatcher is heard saying again, "Engine 11, open mic Tac 2. Engine 11, open mic Tac 2."

The female EMT told reporters that she was embarrassed. She considers it sexual harassment, a hostile work environment and defamation of character.

A spokeswoman with the city said they are looking into the incident and provided the following statement:

"The city can confirm that there is a current open investigation and an employee is on paid administrative leave.""

It is utterly retarded to be caught out on an open mic but, how is it defamation of character to out the dept. bicycle? Every dept. has 1 or 10 and it's not like we don't know who they are. If you are sensitive about being outed for it then you shouldn't choose a profession where you are surrounded by alpha males or close your fucking legs. Get yourself a nice HR job in corporate America somewhere sloot...

Unprofessional on both ends:

don't talk shit about your coworkers over phones and such.

Don't fuck your coworkers and think they're not laughing about cumming on your face.

This does meet the definition of a hostile work environment. It's probably not sexual harassment because it wasn't repeated. I don't know about the defamation of character part.

How does she even prove defamation of character in this case.

Does it have the potential to go to some kind of trial where they will trot out all the chat logs, phone records, pics, and video that prove she is/isn't a massive whore?

Can it still be considered defamation of character if she is a massive whore?

That could prove to be very entertaining media fodder.

It's like the female-equivalent of the Small Penis Rule:

I agree only to a certain extent:

1. Don't talk shit
2. Fuck and be chill & silent about it. Enjoy the bicycle ride - after some time no one is going to want to ride that bike anyway.
