Just happened in Stains, France:

An Arab girl has jumped to her death because she was relentlessly bullied all over town. Her "crime": she was dating a Khel (a Black, in arab language), and pics of them together surfaced... so all people in town, Whites and Arabs, turned on her, made her life hell, and she quickly committed suicide!
And worst thing is that after her death, she's still being insulted and mocked all over Twitter (just bcause of her Black boyfriend)!

I thought racism like this was criminalized in France. It's surprising from a cultural standpoint given the Francophone world includes millions of black people. There are a lot of high profile guys like Jo-Wilfried Tsonga and Gael Monfils who are regarded so highly.

Maybe it's just that Stains is the Oklohoma of France.

Her crime is being ignorant of the culture she's living in. This isn't 'dirty dancing europe' where she will have a happy ending with what is considered an 'outlaw' boyfriend.

You can't spit in the face of local culture no matter how backwards it may seem to you, and get away with it. I love pork bbq but I'm not going to go and set up a smoker with a full rack of ribs in the middle of a muslim neighborhood because I think their traditions are silly. If I did that, and were killed I would hope that you guys would be memorializing me as an idiot...not an unfortunate victim.

If she wanted to live and fuck black dudes she should have gotten a student visa to an american college, not tried to do it in a cultural danger zone.

Sure, racism is criminalized in France but nevertheless on the rise, especially against Black people, who take heat from both whites and arabs (and asians too)! War in Mali also has pitched Blacks against Arabs, in France!

As for 'whats wrong with Oklahoma' I love southern stereotypes...it keeps carpetbaggers and coasties from moving here and realizing that its simultaneously the most scenic, temperate and cheap place to live in the US.

It is unfortunate that she died, but more just at the waste of a young hot piece of ass...not in any sense of martyrdom. This wasn't a random crime, she was playing with fire in terms of where she lived...and she got burned when she got caught.

Dude, this is France, not Algeria or Libya. The only people "spitting in the face" of anyone in this entire story are the Arab thugs who have used the hospitality offered them by the native French to turn sections of that country into crime-ridden no go zones. Are you seriously claiming that in order for somebody in France to live life as French people are wont to do, they should have to immigrate to another country lest it upset the resident Arab thugs?

Try being a young male going through grade school in a liberal part of the country or in Norway, Sweden, UK, etc. Every move you make is watched and anything you do can be interpreted as offensive, harassment, bullying.

You make a good point, France has failed as a national government by allowing local cultures to establish themselves that will harass a girl into suicide based on who she is banging. Aside from that failure, this culture did exist in her neighborhood and she didn't heed it for her own safety.

In america, my free speech is protected, but am I naive enough to go to the south side of chicago and start singing an ode to southern steve and his picture of burning kfc and purple drank on the street corner? No. I know that in that local area, that would be a dangerous move, despite the national laws to protect me.

Maybe she was an idealist (as many teenagers are) and thought the same thing "this is france, I can date whomever I want!"

I may not be able to speak on game in France but one thing I know is the culture. They are probably still one of the most xenophobic countries in the world(of course dependent on where you are at although Paris is pretty racist too). If this was in some French backwater(excluding Basque Country) it's not a surprise she was discriminated against.

None of this should be a shock to anyone who has lived in the world for a few days.

So some people of different races hate each other. This won't ever change. That's why there's no use focusing a post solely on this. Someone can counter it with the opposite, and I'll bet there are examples from all races and ethnicities. This even goes on inside certain groups, like the Italians, where some dark-skinned southern ones despise the light-skinned northern ones and vice-versa.

Her suicide is unfortunate but there were other courses of action that should have been taken instead. The fact of the matter is that people, no matter where you go, love to humiliate others to raise themselves above them. You hear the poor demonize and dehumanize the wealthy, the wealthy mock and dehumanize the poor, the fat call the thin anorexic, etc. Welcome to life... or in this case... farewell to it.

There are some really cute Maghreb chicks in France but its too bad that they have male family members who are such dickheads about them dating outside of their race, even random Arab dudes will talk shit on the streets if one of their girls is walking with a guy of another race. I don't think that the blacks in France cause too much trouble, from my experience its mostly the Arab dudes of north African descent who cause most of the problems in the streets, I've experienced their fuckery over there many times, they really are assholes. This makes me sad because she just needed a support network and someone to tell her she is 14 and this is not it for her, her life is not even started. I think back to when I was 14 and huge amount of love and support I had from my family and friends, if my family turned on me I would have needed a lot of outside support to get through it, and I am male. Women care so much more about how others view them, I feel very sad for her, she did not have a chance.
