I was thinking the same thing, assuming his roommate is a guy, that what kind of guy would give such advice. Of course his roommate is a girl.

Is it just me or does it seem like women at the lower end of the sexual market seem the most willing to comment about a man's looks and his status? She seems so bothered that he's not tall and the life of the party.

She definitely has the look of an aggressive, entitled chick from a lessor sorority who at best was a late night call for a guaranteed bj. I remember those women, they'd show up at my frat around 2:30 or so, definitely not the pick of the litter (obviously). Those are the 700 stories she's probably talking about.

He seems like a decent enough guy but it is clear that he has no dating experience at all nor any male friends that he can go to for advice. It wouldn't surprise me if he was still a virgin or never had a girlfriend.

This girl was clearly not into him but since he doesn't have any other options he still was open to going on another date with her. Even if a man has no other dating options he needs to know when to walk away.
