Being a feminist is very much in line with Miss Piggy's character. Highly superficial, commits domestic violence on her male partner, selfish, conceited, lacking logic and fat. Miss Piggy ticks so many of the feminist boxes.

Some of the things that are coming out now are getting so ridiculous it's almost like a grand experiment is being run. Sort of like when you talk to a girl and just to amuse yourself you gradually tell more and more crazy stories just to see if she'll believe you. At some point she'll point out that you're talking bullshit. I think the point where the general population starts acknowledging the bullshit is coming very soon.

Missy Piggy was spawned in the 70's or early 80's as a humorous foil in a children's show. Children knew exactly what she was and found her extremely funny.

Even kids knew what a feminist harpy was back in the day, and they laughed at her.

Today, girls resemble Miss Piggy, act like Miss Piggy, but don't find the humor in it.

This can't be serious. Feminists are using Miss Piggy as a feminist icon now? They don't see the irony? I guess they do wear with pride being fat and obnoxious. But as mentioned above, part of her 'joke' was her ongoing abuse (physically and sexually) of Kermit The Frog.

I can't wait until this shows up in my social media. Until then, I know I'll greatly enjoy the comments here.

I agree. It's not the makers of Muppet show to be blamed for adding a female pig (with a male as voice) to the cast. The show itself is but a cabaret of different character types, and the piggy-feminist is but one of them we naturally depise because of her, well, pig behavior.

The funny thing is that feminists fail to see the parody Miss Piggy represents of themselves here. Which make them all look like stupid, to say the least.

I'm just not living in reality anymore, am I? My personal reference point of American women--if I had to explain it to a foreigner--is basically Miss Piggy.

I was curious about her origin, so looked up how she was designed:

Haha, that's great. When I was a kid I thought the joke was that no girl would ever want to be miss piggy because she was ugly, fat, abrasive, selfish and stupid, but look and behold, she's an icon for these mentally deranged people.

A puppet on a children's television show decided to "break up" with another puppet on said children's television show, and this is considered a major issue worthy of extensive discussion by members of our society who believe that the interaction of said puppets has significant implications for the direction of their society.
