I'll make this my 2,000th post...

I came to the conclusion this weekend that dancing is just too damn important for any guy to overlook. I've never been a good dancer. I have no coordination whatsoever. But after seeing some eye-opening things this weekend, I know more than ever that I need to get my dance game handled.

I think dancing is like martial arts. It's an equalizer. An average guy with great dance skills can overwhelm a hottie with DHV who would normally shut him out. It's like everything about game being compressed into one concentrated interaction. Fun, confidence, alphaness, sensuality, flirtatiousness, eye contact, leading a woman, kino, sexual escalation, demonstrating value, spontaneity, fantasy, surprise, endorphine rush. All with no words. It's like throwing everything at a girl in 5 mins. If done right, it's so fucking powerful it's unreal. Other women will be watching how much fun you are and then they want a chance next. Watch a guy who knows his salsa game dancing with a woman who is a newbie. Her face is a mixture of ecstasy, submissiveness, eagerness to please and be led. When he is really good, he can lead her movements so well that she feels like a good dancer even if she's not. At this point she can't even stop smiling and is totally caught up in the moment. Yet not a single word may have passed between them. A whole night worth of talking may not get a woman as turned on as 5 minutes of electrifying dancing. Plus all women entertain this fantasy of "dancing the night away" with some charming stranger that literally swoops her off her feet.

I walked into a Samba club last Friday with a few dudes I met. One of them has mad dance floor skills. Within 5 minutes of getting there, dude is on the dance floor dancing with two girls at once, spinning and twirling them around and they are just loving every second of it. A few minutes later he was at a table sitting between them with his arms around both.

Short of being a celebrity, I imagine there's no guy that gets as much poon as a good looking salsa instructor with solid game.

Congrats on 2000. And you are quite right. Not enough guys know how to dance. Even basic improv skills during bump and grind would probably land more tail than most guys get.

Every male should learn to dance salsa, bachata, and merenge. You also need to know how to grind good also.

Women equate dance skills to a mans performance in the bed.

Beautiful post speakeasy. I definitely recommend everyone here to take dancing lessons, wether its salsa (what I'm taking), tango (extremely sexy imo), merengue, doesn't matter.

I have met alot of women in less than 5 dansa lessons I've been to, I can't imagine how much my game and attraction will improve when I become a really good salsa dancer.

You can't be missing this guys, go out there and dance!

I agree dancing is a very powerful skill - however, it's not one that is learned easily if you don't have the natural sense for rhythm.
There is another thread about how having money helps you get pussy - we all agreed that it does, but how do you get the money? I mean get a meaningful amount of money that will make a difference - just like you need to be a top-notch dancer in order to make the impression described above. If you are just a regular ole dancer that knows how to bust a simple move, I doubt this is going to differentiate you that much.

Finally, on the salsa course idea - I had several friends that signed for salsa classes, but that did not land them any girls. Half the ladies in the class had a crush on the instructor, and the other half were either ugly, had boyfriends, or were otherwise unavailable/unattractive.

I agree 100%. I've pulled girls much higher quality than I normally would have with great dance moves. Mine is more of a self-taught style that mixes salsa and michael jackson-esque dancing. It's not professional or anything but I've definitely had girls thinking I was a professional dancer before.

Only a limited number of guys can truly dance at a level that would seriously and consistently impress women. If you're one of them, go for it.

I personally know that I'm not a big dancer, never have been and likely never will be. That's unusual for a Jamaican, but I come from a long line of men who also did not dance. That's just what it is.

Over time as I've read on this subject, I've learned that this isn't such a huge limitation. If you're just not naturally inclined to pursue it, you're far better off just playing it cool and being confident in yourself. Avoid events where dancing is central to interaction, and move confidently in other ways that you are comfortable.

If you aren't naturally inclined and you run around trying to push yourself in that direction anyway, it can hurt more than help. Do you, not everybody else.

I'm totally with you on that GMAC. I've kind of created my own style of salsa. I felt that I blew the door off the hinges in Sydney just by dancing alone. I had so many women ask me to dance (it felt pretty good).

If you can create your own style all the better imo. Also I think that this ballroom style that most most people here tend to have is kind of lame. Go on youtube and see how they do it in central america or south america. It's more of a natural street style and less elegant and less formal. Knowing how to dance well (salsa, bachata, hip hop, whatever) is always valuable. Making it look effortless yet still very good, will put you on another level.

So what, you can't 'chrow' your waist and 'wine' it up? I've found that I've lost potential bangs if I go to a club where they are playing dancehall and I come up with some weak dancing.
I know friends that have blown lots of opportunities because of weak dance skills..I think women attribute poor rhythm to a guy who can't fcuk..

Sooo... how do you learn these "basic" skills? Because last time I checked there are no classes on how to bump and grind... Is this another one of those things which most people know how to do but I don't because I'm crazy? Where I come from people don't dance like that - in fact they don't dance at all.

Learn to move to music you really enjoy - or pick according to what niche you're going for. I love dancehall so it's been easy to get into it and get good at it. If you don't like the music it's going to be much harder.

If you want to bump n grind take dancehall classes. It's a lot of fun.

It depends on what type of whites. There are whites born and bred in South America that can dance their asses off.

I saw a white lizard at a hoops tournament in the dot a while back during the entertainment portion of the event that was throwing her ass in a most mesmerising way. I think a few of my synaptic pathways were fried that afternoon.
