Where should I go with 5,000 dollars?
I just finished my sophomore year in college, and plan on embarking on a two to three week trip somewhere this September. I'll make about 5,000 dollars this summer, maybe a little more, maybe a little less. I can call on some of my parents' money if I really need it. Just wanted to pick the forum's brains on where my time and money would best be spent.

Little bit about me:
19 years old, 6'2 Indian dude 170 lbs(not big, but I look athletic), decent style, average game. Unfortunately I only speak English. I'm looking for a place with historical and cultural attractions as well as amenable women.

Where should I go?

No strong preference, to be honest. I'm generally not attracted to American white girls, but I'm aware that Europeans look and act very differently, so I'm not crossing them off my list. I'm also not really into girls from China, Japan, or Korea, but I'm aware that gaming there is difficult anyway if you don't speak their language. I'd be interested in a Latin American country where I could get by with English.

No international travel experience, but from what I've heard, you generally need to have at least some spanish skills to properly explore and game in LA. There have been notable exceptions to the rule, however. (LINUX ran through Colombian chicks without a lick of spanish for the most part, for example)

RE: Where should I go with 5,000 dollars?
I think Latin American capitals/centers of business with college girls learning English and young woman professionals that know English is your best bet. Haven't been to any of these places, but this is what I would do if in your place.

Mexico City
Bogota
Sao Paulo

italki.com is a great way to Skype chicks with decent English that want to practice you can locate by city and pipeline. You don't even need to practice their language much they can teach you little sayings. They will actually be more grateful because they get more time speaking English.

Best of luck!

If you were into Polish chicks that would be my alternative with a side trip to Budapest.

I would visit Lake Nicaragua before the canal is built. Don't know how the women are there though.

LINUX is not human...he's a cyborg programmed to seduce women.
Just jokin' but in all honesty these exceptions do not apply to 99.9% of the guys on these forums. For every guy like LINUX there are 10 who go to the same places and you never hear their stories because nothing exciting happens to them...if they get a tinder slut that's about the extent of their success.

If you have no Spanish skills consider going to Latin countries like Costa Rica or Panama where you can get by with mostly English. Also, certain touristy parts of Mexico can be a gold mine if you can day-game.

I'd also recommend Mexico, especially if you go around mid September. Mexican independence day is the 16th. It's a pretty huge deal with lots of great festivals and parties that week. No work or school.

For the most part the chicks that you'll be wanting to game will know enough English to understand you.

I'd recommend Guadalajara, Queretaro, Puerto Vallarta. Mexico city can also be a great time but the traffic there is just way too disgusting for me.

I do not recommend Mexico for the 16th.

People are traveling during that time and the cities will be emptied. Cancun, Acapulco, and some beaches will be packed. It's mostly family time.

I've fucked my plans up by going to MEX during that time period 3 times.

Two to three months before your trip is ample time to learn enough of a foreign language that your chances are doubled.

advantages of Eastern Europe: friendly, opened girls, lots of hotties

you will also have on your side the exotic factor

downsides: most of the buildings are communistic grey

On a related note, you could study for at least one semester if not two with that type of money in dozens of nations around the world.

It would be somewhat spartan, but you'd could emerge from spending that money with a whole new language under your belt.

I wouldn't recommend anything difficult, but you could probably get pretty far with something like Spanish.

Your logistics will suck, because you'd probably have to take advantage of student dormitory housing to stretch your money that far (although there are probably some South America cities that have universities with Spanish language programs where off campus housing is so affordable that you would have reasonably good logistics). However, you definitely won't be doing a ton of partying, so hopefully day game is more your thing.

It's not the life I want to live again now that I am 29, but I lived on next to nothing like that for years and years and was able to become very familiar with several areas of the world that I'd otherwise be clueless about and I learned to speak Chinese, which makes living in Beijing now a lot more fun.

On a related side note, it's hilarious filing a $11,000 CAN annual income on your tax declaration each year, especially when you submit it on a single piece of paper with absolutely no supporting documentation (because in my case, the supporting documentation did not exist).

Rather than being suspicious, Revenue Canada was always thrill that I gave them anything at all. Their representatives, once acquainted with my lifestyle situation were quickly able to surmise that they were not in a tactical position to force the hand of a young person living in countries where payroll assistants wouldn't know what a payroll statement looked like even if it walked up and bit them in the nose.

I would second using that money towards studying abroad. It would be more enriching personally and academically. Unless you are already going out solo in your home city, it is unlikely you'll be doing that in a strange country where you might not know the language.

But if you are interested on just going of a trip, I would recommend Europe. With $5k, you could easily live in the Baltic countries for a few weeks. In the summer the sun is out for up to 18 hours. The people like Americans and speak English.

I've been looking into a place to stay in Lima, Peru and ran into some student housing sites. You can grab a nice room in a house in Miraflores for $300 a month. Then enroll in Spanish classes at a Uni nearby.

It'd be living like a broke college kid (cooking your own meals, roommates, etc.), but I think $5,000 could last you the whole 4-5 month semester. You emerge with conversational Spanish and some memories.

Lima is on the ocean and said to be a pretty good place for foreign men, especially gringos.

Not to mention, when you stay in student housing you create social circles which lead to more bangs.

Do you want a big city? Go to Mexico City for that, or Rio.

Mexico City is great, a subway ticket costs 25 cents and will get you anywhere. When I was a budget there was this taco stand by Bellas Artes that sold 5 tacos and a drink for 3 dollars.

Do you want a smaller place with a sea? Head to the "Ixtapa Zihuatanejo" coast. It's cheap, the ocean is nice enough to surf and it's not as crowded as cancun.

If you were not resident inside Canada, and knew you weren't going to be back for 2+ years why would you file a tax return there?

Latvia or Estonia. But I have a correction: with 5000 dollars you can easily live there for at least 2 and a half months.

The average salary in Latvia for example is about 500 $ per month, and most latvians
of course live with this amount.

Why arent you attracted to white americans or japanese?

I used to think I wasnt attracted to asians until I actually went to asia and it changed my mind. You should keep an open mind until you have travelled to the place.

Technically, I've always been a Canadian resident, as I've never established residency anywhere else. There are some conditions you have to fulfill to be considered a resident in another country (depending on the country) and I've never fulfilled them as of yet.

I'm definitely attracted to the Japanese, but from what I've read, gaming in Japan is highly difficult and requires at least some proficiency in Japanese, which I lack. Same with Korea. I'm definitely not ruling out a place like Thailand or the Phils, though. I'm a huge fan of darker Asian girls. Not sure how amenable those places would be for a 19 year old on his first lone overseas trip, though.

I'm generally turned off by the personalities of most white american girls I've met...I've hooked up with a couple, but found them way bitchier and worse in bed than the others I've been with. I'm open to European girls though.

Regarding all the study abroad replies, my parents are pretty generous and would be willing to bankroll most of it (since it would go towards my degree). Therefore, I'd prefer to spend my earnings on a trip this summer. I might just go roadtrip through India with a bunch of my friends, but it's unlikely that any of us would get laid there Dodgy

A-fucking-men. Be glad you learned this so early on.

I think California white girls in general are a rough breed because of the diversity of guys that all want the blonde beach girl as the top prize and white girls here are in small numbers proportionally compared to other parts of the country. Their value is pushed way too high for what they offer. White girls from either coast are most often not worth it. Midwest and Southern girls are better. That said, a good portion of the hottest white girls from the Midwest and South move to California and get ruined. Kind of a lose-lose.

Yeah, college was a weird experience for me. There were attractive blonde girls everywhere, but every single one I hooked up with was cold, snarky, and a complete disaster in the sack. I guess I didn't hook up with enough to develop a comprehensive picture of what these girls were actually like, but the general vibes I got from white girls were extremely off-putting. The white girls I've been with were more physically attractive than some of the black/Indian/Asian girls I've been with, but the white girls were the only ones who I actually regret hooking up with. And it wasn't like I just went for a particular subset of white women either. I hooked up with a hippie stoner type, a NorCal farm girl, and a party girl, all of whom I'd give a low 7 in looks. They were unilaterally bad in bed and irritating to be around.

I'm really curious as to why this was the case. The black girls I've been with were all extremely passionate and were generally cool, well-rounded people. The Indian girls loved drama, but they were complete freaks and treated me like a king. The Asian girls were probably the least attractive out of all the girls I've banged, but even they were at least fun to have sex with. It really puzzles me why white girls, especially in SoCal, come off as being so soulless. The ones I hooked up with seemed alright when I first met them, but they became unbearable after the deed was done.
