Video wasn't very shocking to me.

I think Chris Brown knocked a few screws lose in her head after he beat her ass. She went off the deep end.

I personally thought it was pretty good for a 'music video' its not a TV show or movie. Its also not realistic.

If it was realistic it would be "bitch better have my money" set to Rhianna taking a guy to divorce court, keeping the kids and then sending the authorities after the ex husband when he can't/doesn't pay.

At the end she could be sitting naked in the trunk of money while the guy is homeless or locked up in jail.

On one hand I want to say this shit is depraved, twisted, and irresponsible. On the other hand, I think the vast majority of people who watch this don't take it any seriously than they would take, say, a horror movie. And given the extent horror movies go to these days, I don't think it'd be quite fair to hold this particular type of entertainment to some higher moral standard.

Entertainment in general, however, that's possibly a discussion worth having, and in that case this video would be a good example of how loose the boundaries have gotten.

On another note, I think a lot of the rappers who glorify and normalize murder are more detrimental than stuff like this for the simple reason that more of our youth actually take them seriously, especially in inner cities. I think for the most part anyone truly influenced by this particular video over others already has substantial issues. Poor taste, yeah, but obviously just entertainment.

Then again, you could move this into conversation about Rhianna and mind control, which is a whole other rabbit hole and one I've consciously stayed away from (and not necessarily because I don't find them believable). If you wanted to go down that route then this video could certainly be an interesting part of the conversation.

I'm pretty sure the Prodigy video was posted because of the surprise ending/ twist that makes it more artistic and thought provoking than the simple shock value in Rihanna's release.

Toronto (surprised?) just banned Action Bronson from performing at an outside venue after feminists and SJWs found out about a couple of his old lyrics...for a song that's he's never actually performed, let alone a music video or actual criminal acts.

I agree Lizard Man. Prodigy, first of all, actually made good and creative music. Rihanna music is mediocre 808 machine at best.

Second, Prodigy's video actually attempted to capture how people lived; it's events are believable and relatable to many men. The shock value of it being a woman at the end is also a great twist but of course completely unrealistic.

Meanwhile, Rihanna's video here is "Bitch where's my money" as she hunts down a scumbag banker dude who for some reason took a loan from her? Why the fuck would a rich dude need a loan from Rihanna? How would anyone relate to this comic book cartoon story? This shit never happens in the real world on any large scale. The entire plot is contrived and even fails to be interesting as pulp fiction.

The whole video is of Rihanna trying to show how badass she is or something. It's boring and she needs to lose about 15 pounds.

I found it entertaining. Not something I'd play on my phone but 9/10 WB Rihanna. I know Eminem talked about crazy shit in his songs, but I don't recall any of his videos being as graphic. Some are going to like this...some won't. This one is probably for the club rats.

The context of the video is relevant.

It is highly negative. Together with a butch lesbian and a uber-male parody of masculinity they kidnap a woman for money. Then they get pissed off when the husband does not want to pay. In return they kill him brutally and bath in his blood and cash.

That's about as evil as it can get.

Though she is hot in the video at least.





Music videos definitely are turning really dark.

While this song by Die Antwoord is not bad, the embedded imagery can only be described as Luciferian.
