Style From Films Thread
Browsed around the forum for awhile and couldn't find much on this topic specifically so I thought I'd start one. As the title of the thread suggests, this is about posting pictures, links, and other pertaining aspects to style that we like from different films (or any other medium really). Regardless of what one thought of a film/tv show/etc. some of these present very well-dressed and cool style.

Yesterday, I watched the film Shame. I really dug Michael Fassbender's wardrobe throughout, especially the coat/scarf he rocked for the first half of the movie. I've attached a few pics below and if anyone knows where to get these or something similar or if they want to post cool style from movies or tv comment on this thread.

Totally on the opposite end of Michael, (who looked dapper as fuck throughout that movie), I always thought Heath Ledger had a pretty cool, timeless syle in "10 things I hate about you". The movie may have sucked but his style didn't. When people mention R-selected dudes, I usually picture someone in this archetype.

This was the late 90's. Most people had blonde spikes and shit. This was not a real conventional look for its time.

On another note, I was maybe in the 8th-9th grade when I saw "Blow" with Johnny Depp for the first time. I remember thinking he was such a cool-looking motherfucker as a little kid watching the screen.

After doing some reading on the movie a little while back, I was surprised to learn that the costume designer for that movie sourced his entire wardrobe from thrift shops and second hand stores. It amounted to a surprisingly low wardrobe budget.

Ray Liotta in this particular scene of Goodfellas. Man I wish I knew what kind of shades those were. He's strung out, wearing gold jewelry and disheveled as fuck, yet somehow still looks badass

Daniel Craig just has damn good style, both on and off the screen. This would be how I would want to look/dress at that age or older

My posts are all over the place, but I think all of the above have a good style in their own way.

I just realized this thread is ancient.

There is only one fictional character you should be taking style tips from.

For business, Jack Donaghy:

For a more casual look(the kind of thing you'd wear to a cocktail event) you can't go wrong with British:

I dress similarly like the first guy when I go to work haha. Typical look from France but it looks a bit more unique in America.

Shame was an awesome film--I've watched it three times.

You can get most of Fassbender's wardrobe from Zara.

I just watched this movie again for the first time in HD and I was actually thinking the same thing about Ledger. I was in high school when it came out. I disagree, I actually think the movie holds up well today but I do agree Ledger's style is pretty timeless.

Gosling in Crazy Stupid Love was dressed extremely well. Stupid movie, but I think his style was good.
