No, I do it for me. Training is a form of therapy for me. There are few problems a few sets of squats and overhead pressing can't help.

I started training because I was depressed over a girl who left me. I kept training because I liked it.

At the moment I admit I do it maybe 80% for girls.

It's a huge confidence booster to be getting way more looks from girls because your arms and chest have become bigger.

However I am also liking it just for the fact that I get to lift shit up every week, and it gets heavier week after week.

I do weights and then a good water-workout in the pool (laps, dives, breathing). I am a swimmer so lifting weights is sorta silly to me. And.... if a woman can't swim, leave her alone. (Unless she has a great ass and chest and nose and can handle lessons : - )

I don't think, if we're being honest, we'd all be hitting the gym regularly if everytime we went we got uglier! That said, like many others here, I go because I take pride in my physicality, my capability, and my appearance. It matters to me to be fit, strong, athletic, skilled, and to look the part too. First impressions count, and a good physique and upright posture generally inspires others to have confidence in you.

Real men appreciate other men who look like they are good at being men. Rough and dangerous men always give me the time of day, not because they are intimidated, but because they recognise a proficiency and physical competence that demands a level of respect - essentially, in their arena, whether you'd win or lose, you at least look like a bloke who'd be a handful and give as good as he got.

Married, so no.

I go to the gym because awhile ago I stopped using business as an excuse. It took all of a week and a half for me to loose most of my drive and charisma. I started feeling like shit, looking shittier, being more tired, and losing the extremely aggressive, competitive mindset that i've been thriving with lately.

After that I made a rule that I have to exercise daily.....even if it's just ten minutes jogging.

I started going to the gym because my parents called me a fat arse. Didn´t train weights though. I only got into weights after breaking up with a LTR and feeling like I needed to unleash some energy. Itś been so much fun that itś now something I do because I love it. Honestly I have never trained a session thinking ¨chicks will dig this¨.

DiscoBoi that's not true, i've been going to the gym with commitment for the last 2 years and 7 months, but i can't say that i like it, it's an effort i make. I am super happy to make it cause it brings me tons of pussy at nightgame and beach game, but if i could have big muscles and low body fat just sitting on the sofa and watching tv i wouldn't go to the gym, i am honest.

Anyone who says at least a minimal, ancillary part of the reason they go to the gym isn't to attract girls if full of it IMHO. While I'm literally present inside the gym lifting, I could care less, however only a man with no sex drive would pretend to not notice hotties throwing a few looks his way during his routine, due to his physique, and mentally give him a little extra Umph for purpose to get swole.

Guarantee this, guys that go to the gym for girls as a "primary" reason for lifting are not regular. They'll disappear for 2 weeks to 3 months at a time, when they get some new ass.

Every girl I fuck knows I'm active in the local lifting community and understand that weights, and the rest of my life come before them.

The most honest response to this question from me would be "it's variable." No more than 20% of the reason I go to the gym is to attract girls (be it in the gym (bonus) but moreso outside of it), but no less than 1%. If the pussy cache is getting low, I might hit it extra hard a few weeks (variability), to cleanse my mind, and solidify confidence, lock in and build on gains.. but that's marginal.

If my main gig was for getting paid specifically for using my body as a tool - i.e. body builder, power lifter, football player, etc. - I could then answer honestly:"Yes, 100% of the reason I go to the gym for developing my body for ME, and not to attract girls." Some professional athletes even abstain from pussy so their performance is top tier. MMA guys do it.

It boils down to opportunity costs. Fuck or lift? You only have so many heartbeats. Focus on what matters to you at that point in your life. << which too, will vary.

After I lost the belly I hit the weights, I had a workout partner who had the same goals as me. He was pyscho and I got hooked.

Dabbled with stuff, got big and attracted hot bitches without opening my mouth.

I do it for myself now, but I love the respect I get in the gym. Big guys who don't talk to many people, hail me up and give me the nod. Other guys stay away or don't make eye contact, they ask me if I am using a weight if it is in my radius.

The gym is a reflection of the real world. I don't want people to fuck with me, I don't fuck with others so I expect the same.

I feel comfortable in my gym, like I feel comfortable in my home. If I have a bad day, which is often - the gym makes me feel calm again.

Women are a by product, there is still work to do beyond that. A lot of them become insecure real quick when they see you without clothes.

I started because I knew it'd be good for me. I only realized after I started lifting consistently that I had been slightly depressed (not clinically). Lifting will boost your esteem.

I quickly realized how much chics notice. They'll notice before you do.

If you're skinny, you'll put on a little bulk and tighten up.
If you're chubby, you'll trim up and tighten up.
If you're athletic looking already...well, you'll get cut.
Regardless your build, you'll feel more confident.

People make fun of 'bros' lifting and getting cut and wearing tight shirts (queue the Southpark episode recently discussed)...but it's because those bros are getting noticed and getting laid.

Fuck the haters (an area of my life I've only recently developed this attitude).

Well, I just started my fitness journey at 39, so yes I definitely am going for the chicks. I want women to want me way more than I ever wanted them, I figured, lifting is the way to do that.

Nope. I go for me 100%. It's about physical health and mental well being. I would say that living a healthy lifestyle attracts like personalities so you will probably have more health conscience male friends and Womynz to date. Just like being a barfly attracts the exact opposite. Lol. Now, if you stay in shape, eat right, and look good you will attract women. But you need some applied charisma as well.
