Another person, Brittany Whiteford, wrote: "This definitely has me in tears thank you sharing. I'm so sorry you and your children have to go through this and hopefully people will start opening their eyes to this terrible addiction."

After her original post Holland wrote a follow-up post on Facebook about an addict that credited her with not overdosing.

"This lady ran up to me crying and asked if she could hug me. I thought she was just having a bad day so I hugged her.

"She said 'I am a heroin addicted and was going to try and overdose last night but then I seen your post and you saved my life. I can never thank you enough!'

"So we stood there hugging each other crying. This right here is what it's all about."

They haven't even nailed the coffin shut, and already she's out whoring for all the attention she can get at the expense of her dead husband's dignity. Look at the smile on her face. Does that look like a woman devastated by the loss of her partner of 11 years? Look at the smiles on her children's faces. Do they look like they will respect the memory of their father? Sure, he was a junkie and that probably impacted their lives in a negative way, but for fuck's sake, this isn't like sharing a photos of your recent trip to Disneyland. Some things simply shouldn't be shared on Facebook, no matter how "powerful" or "inspiring."

A quick look at her Facebook page confirms that she is a recidivist attention whore. (Nice tits though, although you could safely land a 747 on her chin).

And it's very telling that the expression on their faces in the following photo from her Facebook page is indistinguishable from the photo as they are supposedly grieving.

I have noticed the same kind of behavior in women recently. If anything different happens or something a women does she will share it on the Internet.

Example: a women leaves her kid in the car and brags about it on the Internet and where as other women back her up for her behavior.

Kids learn to smile for the camera from infancy nowadays. They don't know how to handle this. As to respecting the husband's dignity, he has none. None. Furthermore, calling the child out as a faggot is fucked up.

The woman wants attention, yes, but this is how women evolved. Its very common for people who suffer some tragedy to try to create some kind of outreach for their issue. I can't blame this woman for the way she's handling this.

I for one, am a person who knows that addiction is a sickness and it prays on the weakest of us all.

It then moves it's way up the ladder and takes out people who seemingly have fantastic lives.

The level of distastefulness, the very smiling smirks, etc. going on here is morbid as fuck. Either this guy was a real, real bad man, where it can put an adult in the mindset, along with programmed kids, to find joy in his death, with the dead body right fucking next to them, or this women has crossed many lines doing this.

This is a prime example of when solipsism turns into narcissism. All she cares about is herself. Not kids, not the father, not would-be heroin addicts, who might overdose and learn from this.

Nah, it wasn't meant to be taken seriosly. It was more a statement about what happens to a boy in the absence of a strong father and a nurturing mother. I didn't mean that he's actually a faggot and I do feel bad for the kid. This analysis is something that I always do as well. Did the woman pick a bad guy from the start, or did she pick a good guy and treat him like shit until he went crazy? Only after these two facts have been established is it possible to entertain the possibility of her being a genuine victim.

Even fat and ugly women can take their picks out of a pool of thousands of men. There is simply no excuse to picking wrong or mistreating the one you picked, because it can hardly happen by accident. It happens almost exclusively through a series of a woman's determined, intentional, fucked-up choices.

Whether or not you perceive this stunt as merely blatant attention whoring or not, this woman has a message that is worth sending. It's about the effects of addiction. I for one think the first picture gets a good point across. Looks like she was trying to going for a traditional looking family photo with the father in his casket in the background signifying what addiction can do to families. What would normally be a happy family is now fatherless/husbandless because of this tragedy. Would the effect be stronger if they were mourning in the photo? I can't say really.

People may make the argument that this is disrespectful to the father, but how so? This man did drugs and left his family behind because of ignorance, selfishness, and weakness. Some may think it absurd that the children are smiling for a picture while standing next to their dead father, but maybe the guy has been abset most of their lives and the emotional pain isn't een there to begin with. None of us know the dynamic of what the family had.

Above all else, this is viral internet media and my very well be bullshit anyway, but...

I was kind of leaning the same way. Although I don't agree with the woman's methods (which in my opinion was done with poor judgment in extremely poor taste), these kids will most likely be without a father due to his drug addiction issues and it is important to reflect on and share these stories. Hopefully it'll reach at least one person and stop them from making the same mistake.

I saw this and viewed the photo as an ironic take on a family portrait to send a worthwhile message. I don't care enough about this woman to stalk her FB and see if she is an attention whore, may be the case but the message stands and obviously it is resonating. Heroin is a huge problem where I grew up, including many young parents (who shouldn't be breeding but that's another story) and it's images like this which actually will make someone think twice about picking up the needle, much more so than anything put out by "The Ad Council".

Also, literally every time someone appears on the media at a funeral without tears streaming down their face there are hoards of commenters elsewhere saying what a horrible person they are, and even speculating that they're actually paid actors and Newtown was an inside job. How a person reacts in private and the face they put on at a funeral are completely different, as I hope most here would know. I buried a childhood friend who OD'd and his father was smiling and joking before and after the funeral despite being gutted for years to come. I didn't judge him for it, and when I set a standard I try to stick to it - male, female, friend or stranger.
