I was reading bang and roosh says that approaching from behind is kinda sleazy / creepy but what if a girl is wiggling her arse and waist right in front of you on the dance floor, does she know you right behind her? Does that mean she wants you to grind on her?!

Honestly i'm not too sure, probably some of the more seasoned guys on her would give better advice on that, but a strategy that has worked for me is that I would try to work my way into it by dancing facing her first. Start off with no touching, then take the tip of her hands and lightly grab them. If she's fine with it, dance facing her while touching her hands for a few seconds then try to go from behind. If she's not interested, she'll just pull away her hands.

Roosh is right; it's not recommended trying to grind her from behind. And make sure you don't ASK her to dance either.

I'm also very curious about that. Ok, sometimes it might be creepy but a lot of my friends just do it and they even say that's how it works. For example, in Poland, me and my 2 friends were starting dancing with slowly grabbing their hips all the time. If a girl is dancing very close to you I think it's worth a try.

If it's obvious that she is shaking her ass in front of you because she wants you to make a move then go for it. Why would you ignore an obvious sign like that? Usually the girl will subtly keep loking over her shoulder at you if she wants you to grind on her.

I try to avoid doing the "approaching from behind" move, since it mostly just invites heightened scrutiny from her friends leading to higher likelihood of cockblocking. Not to mention, it's what every other guy is doing.

I usually go with something I call the "shoulder-rock." Stand perpendicular to the line of her back, then "rock" your shoulder against her to the beat of whatever music is playing. Over-your-shoulder lyric singing also helps a ton here.

It's a great way to open smoothly on the dance-floor without coming off as alternately hesitant, unsure or over-aggressive.

If she is shaking her ass right in front of you and keeps looking back or looked back right before you did it jump on it. She wants you to dance with her.

If she is just dancing I generally approach from an angle between infront and the side of them. I just dance up to them and grab their hand and direct them with their hand so I end up behind them.

The thing I usually do is offer my hand and say something like "Let's dance" or nothing at all. It's not excessive but you're not lowering yourself by asking either. The girl will usually either comply or reject. It doesn't get simpler than that really.

Whenever I approach from behind, a girl will generally look back first to see what I look like before deciding to either continue dancing or flee to the safety of her friends and look really cool.
