We here at RVF all love a good-humoured poke at the hypocritical underbelly of the lefties, and the joy, mirth and merriment continues with this latest article in The Guardian.

Kate Iselin identifies as a feminist, but she struggles to reconcile her beliefs in female privilege with the Frankenstein's monster it creates of the male populace. Observe the incredible mental gymnastics she performs as she attempts to convince herself that these unattractive effimnates are not 'real feminists', and that somewhere out there lurks a man who is both masculine and feminist.

There are feminist boxing classes, feminist baking groups, and, of course, feminist dating websites. Because when we talk about “having it all”, we also want a feminist boyfriend, right?

In theory, it sounds excellent. It would be a hard slog to have a relationship with someone whose sociopolitical stance differs hugely from yours, so when I first began identifying as a feminist I thought that my beliefs would carry over seamlessly in to my dating life as well. I’m a feminist, so shouldn’t the men I date and sleep with be feminists too?

Unfortunately, it wasn’t quite so simple. From the man who opened a text conversation with a photo of his naked chest and encouraged me to reciprocate in the name of the Free The Nipple movement, to the fellow who agonised over accepting a blowjob because, despite enjoying them, he found the act simply too degrading to let me perform; dating male feminists turned out to be one of the least empowering decisions I’ve ever made.

It’s not that I don’t want to be with a man who respects me, values consent, or is conscious of the various gender-based imbalances in the world today. These qualities are a bare minimum.

But men looking for feminist-sanctioned romance tend to fall in to one of two categories: those who use our attraction as a sign of approval and seek out trophy feminists to clear their conscience of any inherent patriarchal wrong-doing, and outright predators who employ a bare-bones knowledge of feminist discourse to target any young woman whose politics so much as graze the notion of sex-positivity.

The commercialisation of “feminist dating”, whether at a social event or on an app or website, only entrenches these attitudes further. It laser-focuses the male gaze on an environment where men can hamfistedly wield their limited knowledge of women’s empowerment to look for sex partners and girlfriends in a movement that demands women be seen as everything but.

There was the chap who invited me to an event, not so much as a plus one but as a testing ground for his ribald, sexist one-liners. After each remark he would look to me, gauging my reaction to see exactly how much of his cheap and dirty humour he could unleash while still passing the feminist litmus test.

I had lunch with a man whose openness about sex and sexuality impressed me until I declined his offer for an afternoon quickie – his response made it clear that his feminism had no room for my apparent frigidity. Then there was the gentleman who messaged me every second day to ask my fem-pinion on everything from vajazzling to Lena Dunham’s memoir. When I finally asked him to cool his jets, he responded furiously that I should be grateful for his incessant questions and I was lucky a man wanted to hear my opinion at all.

It’s not that I don’t think men can be feminists. There are several men in my life who have approached feminism with respect and considerate thought, who have used feminism to examine their own privilege and experiences within the world and have become better people for it.

But these men are in a disappointing minority compared to the rest of the male feminists I, and many other women, have encountered: men who use the term “feminist” as either bait or an alter-ego, assuming that their opt-in respect for women will entitle them to legions of adoring lovers – really the most anti-feminist act of all.

When it comes to dating and relating, I don’t care who opens the door for whom, or who picks up the bill. I simply want to be in a relationship where my politics aren’t sexualised, where I can look at my partner and see more than a “Hey girl!” meme come to life and know that they, in turn, see me as a three-dimensional being: a feminist, yes, but not one who will perform on command.

Feminism has enlightened and empowered me, and now I’m using that power to put my foot down and say “no more” to the movement’s male members. bell hooks is nobody’s wingwoman. And while it may be correct to say #NotAllMaleFeminists, I would simply rather: not any.

So she's calling male feminists white knights without using the term white knight. All we need now is a woman blogging about how much free drinks, meals, money, attention, work, etc she gets for being attractive, but I can't see that happening. Women like to pretend they have no power so they can't be held accountable for how they use it.

It can be hard for women to remember that men -- including manginas -- actually take ideas seriously, since nothing is more meaningless to the female mind than the "idea" it was babbling about 30 seconds ago. But the dully earnest, plodding male is the creature that truly believes in a more or less literal way in whatever ideology it has been made to espouse, and attempts insofar as possible to live accordingly.

So when a fat "feminist" whore just wants to have her mouth fucked and filled with come, and all she has at her disposal is a sickly mangina dully committed to a certain set of quite insane ideas, there is some genuine comedy to enjoy there -- though I'll grant that it's an acquired taste, LOL.

Fixed it. It's been like that for decades. Every "feminism' issue has been asking for more. Men are owners, women are dogs. For centuries men kept their dogs on tight leashes and everything was fine. Only fairly recently have some of the dogs thought their leash was too tight. They don't know what's good for them, so they ask that all leashes should be loosened up a bit. The problem is that it also affected those who were happy having a tight leash. Every decade or so the boundaries became more loose, and the dogs became unhappier because they felt like they didn't have a proper owner.

Now it's gotten to a point where there is minuscule difference between the owner and the dog because the leash is so loose. And yet, there's still some dogs that think it's too tight and that's what the problem is....

I have yet to meet a self-proclaimed active Feminist who actually seems attracted to 'Feminist' men, the ones active when I was at college were the first to open their legs to the macho scrum half and/or the rowing team.

I don't know how it is in the USA but in Britain much of the movement is upper-middle class former boarding school women wanting the same privileges as upper middle class men (recently with their own political party WEP), lesbians with father issues (sometimes related to insecurities resulting from previous school point), and simply just a test of a man's metal and overall status.

Confirming yet again what we already know. Or should know.

1. Don't ever be a feminist, or use that word to describe anything even remotely related to yourself. Women truly hate male feminists, with no exceptions. You will be severely punished for any association, however tangential, with this word.

2. Remember that even women themselves don't really care about the "ideas" of feminism. The whole thing is a sham, a con. It's only a circus-show for attention-whoring and neurosis-coddling. It's a way for big corporations to milk women for money.

3. Don't ever discuss feminism with women.

4. If you're forced to deal with it, just provide bemused smiles and vaguely condescending expressions.

5. Always act like the dominant man in control. Women want to be led. They don't want the insecurity or confusion of doubt.

6. Do not associate with men who identify with feminism. They will stab you in the back and sell you out.

I could have swore there was a thread on here about a food blogger actress from Toronto blogging about how she was going on dinner dates where the man would pay for her food and she has no interest in any of the guys as far as dating or sex.
