What's your pre-date routine and fashion choices?
Do you do anything to get warmed up/prepared for your date? Maybe any topics you brush up on for keeping conversations alive?

What about fashion? What types of clothing do you find most effective for drinks?

I don't have a set plan as such but I think it's important to be in a talkative state (I'm naturally chatty so I don't face this issue like some). Make conversation with random people throughout your day. An idea could be to talk to a person who looks up to you or younger sibling to establish a commanding tone... not necessary, but it's important to take a stance of authority to some extent on dates.

As for dress, it should simply be in congruence with your personality. I'd say the less flashy the better. I personally like OCBDs and linen shirts... usually paired up with some nice khaki chinos or dark blue denim jeans. No shorts, no flip flops, no headwear (unless you're a skater/ artist-type etc).

RE: What's your pre-date routine and fashion choices?
Usually I try to get home a bit earlier so I can clean my place and have certain things ready/on hand in case I need them for when she comes back. As for talkativeness I pretty much do nothing preparation-wise before hand as on dates it's never a problem I have and conversation comes easy; I find simply clearing my mind is the best thing. As for fashion I go with the basic Roosh style, jeans and v-neck, but with a nice watch and nice shoes - there's no need to get more complicated than that to get laid. And in terms of scheduling I prefer to meet on Thurs/Fri/Sat so that if she's a no-show then I can channel that mental buildup into going out and sarging for some new prospects.

This is as much of a pre-date warm up as you can get. It preps you for being in a chatty vibe, gets you in the state to think on your feet.

I used to get stage fright so I'd thought lately of incorporating a quick meditation or breathing exercise beforehand, maybe a glass of wine or whisky after. Or I might chill by going to the gym beforehand -- followed by a shower.

Honestly, organisation was never my forte; I know most of my past dates I'd have been rushing from somewhere. Somehow, I'd manage to just segue into date mode like that. I ought to cut that out.

I dress pretty smartly -- so my dates aren't a huge exception, though I try not to look like I've tried too hard. I'll usually wear a jacket of some sort or a pullover.
Often, I'll incorporate something that I already know about the girl into my outfit. If she's a hipster I'll wear something ironic -- much of my wardrobe are vintage/thrift finds so I've got that covered anyway. Tongue I once wore an army surplus jacket on a date* where the girl happened to do WW2 reenactment so that went down pretty well.

*Please try not to do this at home.
