Is the Cube Too Old to Use Nowadays?
I've used the cube in the past with success. But this was years ago. I want to know if its still relevant. Do you guys still use it today? Is it too old to be used?

It's not too old, but when cube, strawberry fields, were popular, you had a lot more time to run club game.

It's better for a date.

^^^ What do you mean had more time to run club game? Women are more dismissive now if there isn't initial attraction? Why is this?

Been using the cube on girls at college. They seem to like this hand-waving horoscope kind of B.S

Two have called me out on the B.S, but one happened to be observant of a previous encounter with a fortune teller and the other one just didn't believe in any of the hand-waving.

@Awright

I go back and forth on this, but younger women I particular, but all women I general, and the population as a whole are addicted to smartphones.

There is a general need for constant mental stimulation that is going way past what i used to deal with when the Cube was popular.

Everywhere at all times everyone is staring into their phones. They aren't talking or texting, they're either reading or playing games.

It depends.

There is no "one trick get's them all to bed" kind of thing.
I used a version of it this year and it worked well.

I think it's another part of our arsenal, and should be used wisely.
You can cold read even without it.

Agree with WestIndianArchie.
It is better for date or for deep rapport stage.

I remember back when I was starting out (2011ish), I used the Cube and Style's Eliciting Values a couple times and all I got was confused and incredulous looks and then I realized how fucking stupid they were and never used them again.

What version of the cube did you use?

I did the variation of this
Instead of a ladder, I changed it to stares.
Also instead of a horse I used a dog, as she said earlier she loves dogs.

Oh that's the cube. I used a variant before I even read any game material. Which puts her inside the box and that represents the size of her ego.

I know a few which could be strung together. One involving walking through a woods with some obstacles a house at the other side and some water.
Another involving her three favourite animals where she describes their attributes. One of the animals is how she perceives herself, one is how others see her and the other is supposed to describe her.

Thanks for the clarification.

It's as relevant now as any other interesting fact/story you have to say in mind. Girls just like stuff relevant to astrology, horoscopes, fate, magic, etc.
