In Asia on online dating sites, how do you find out for sure before meeting that a girl is not a transgender or a prostitute without scaring her away if she is a genuine girl?

I have been using “Sorry if this offends you, but I have to ask if you are a ladyboy or prostitute as there are so many of them on here” but I thought you guys might have a much smoother way around this?

You can be straight-up asking if they're a ladyboy. I've never had anyone be seriously offended. Prostitutes are a different story because there are all kinds of hookers and games being run. You have to start getting a nose for them. But as long as you don't pay cash, you're pretty safe from hookers aren't you? Of course we've all paid for taxis or meals for girls on occasion, I've done it for plenty of nice girls who deserved it, and I've been somewhat scammed by gold-diggers/hookers looking for a mini payout. C'est la vie.

In SE Asia, you learn not to be too judgmental and that there are many grey areas. "Nice" poor girls can fall on hard times and need a few bucks to pay their bills, etc. Moving up the socioeconomic chain and only dealing with girls who have plenty of money can bring its own problems.

1. "Scaring away" some internet chick should not even enter your mind. Who gives a shit. Do what you need to do. If you "lose" some genuine ones in the process who cares, there's millions of these girls out there. Drop the scarcity mentality.

2. There's no 100% sure method of weeding out hookers online. Ladyboys, I've never had a problem really.

3. In Asia (and elsewhere) I've mostly skipped the online stuff altogether lately. To me, Asians don't have the strongest faces as whole, so scrolling through head shots is useless for me. Not many stand out. Scheduling times for next day, I may want to do something else by that time. Meeting duds that you don't like from the first look. All time wasters.

I prefer to simply approach the girls I'm attracted to. I have a better idea what I'm getting, saves time. Has the benefit of helping to weed out hookers as well, if for example you spot her working at the mall or where ever.

Ladyboys online can fool you with lightning and angles, but rarely if they have more than one pic and rarely if you know the culture you're dealing with.

Thailand for example, it's good to know that showing cleavage anywhere is considered very slutty, while it's acceptable to wear very short skirts and shorts. Ladyboys in Thailand often try to look like American sluts, which means big fake tits, showing cleavage, being sexually agressive, using lots of makeup. This really in my experience only is a problem for newbies. Likewise, the faces of ladyboys do not look like a typical girl from that country would look.

A more typical problem is being drunk and in a dark club, where you might not be able to see face clearly. You might get too close before you discover the truth! In that case, it's best to have same bros around to look out for one another.

Prostitutes you should probably not be on the lookout for. There's a huge grey area and a sliding scale. Many are just 'party girls' like anywhere else in the world, except in these countries there might be some temptation to get some monetary compensation in one way or another, even if only from sleeping in a nice condo, being taken out to restaurants. Obviously if she works in a bar or gogo place or you picked her up in known freelance spots, then you should expect her to be a hooker. In that case, my personal opinion is to pay her if she asks, even if she didn't bring it up before hand. Opinions might vary on that though.

For ladyboys this is what I do (online and off):

"ur a girl right?"

She will either get offended and ask why (probably a girl then) or say no I'm ladyboy (at which point I eject)

If she gets offended I'll say "because ur too beautiful (or soo-ay for Thai girls) for a normal girl ;p"

Sounds real cheesy but it works with my style and also I think the type of humor in Asia is different.
