It destroys me and uses of out-of-context quotes to imply I had illegal sex with an underage girl. I told the journalist the schoolgirl was of legal age (last year in secondary school), and the only thing illegal about it was that we had sex in a university lecture room. He didn't care, and mislead the reader.

My reputation in my home town has already been ruined. The enemy is ruthless.

Get a lawyer. I had a friend receive compensation from the local newspaper last year when it insinuated he was a paedophile.

He pretended to be a reviewer at first.

In fairness, he published everything I said to defend myself. The article itself wasn't that bad, but the headlines were sensationalist and completely misleading.
The damage is done.

Sue for libel.

Even though the reporter 'published everything you said to defend yourself', the newspaper certainly didn't put it in the same headline font as the defamatory article.

The article was most certainly NOT fair. It was designed with a disingenuous intent to get readership at the expense of your reputation.

I think you will find that for little money you can get a lawyer to send a letter to the newspaper and find that they may be willing to print a retraction and discuss a settlement.

While a lawsuit may help with a monetary reward, the reputational damage is done when the article is published. Unfortunately we're still in the middle of a rape mass hysteria and so the media will go after any public figure not protected by Hollywood who has engaged in consensual sex. A sign that things were getting bad was when the coffee shop owners in Asheville shut down their business merely for operating a game podcast.

The best thing you can do at the moment is post any denial on your web site. People are Googling your name so you can at least offer a defense that some will understand. Other than that, you'll just have to hang on.

The establishment needs a constantly replenishing supply of "rapists" to fulfill their rape culture agenda. You're just another target in their immoral war. Survive it as best as you can.

If that happened to me, I would say absolutely nothing and don't say anything to the media or paparazzi or anything. Whatever you do say will be twisted, taken out of context, made into an ad infinitum and used against you. Unless you hold actual power or are being coerced to talk, the best defense is silence.

No offense Naughty, but I believe you were part of the group of people who just "wanted to avoid politics, bang girls, and enjoy the decline." Similar to RSD, or other PUA groups. The bottom line is that there is no avoiding politics, either you fight in this world or it will eliminate you.

NN is even completely apolitical and doesn't get involved in any kind of alt-right stuff.

This once again proves you can't sit this one out if you're a man who uses game to sleep with women or even if you're a man who sleeps with foreign women or if you're a man who sleeps with many women - without having the right opinions.

This is literally an enactment of 'first they came for the communists' text.

This is in ways even worse than Roosh because of the implied pedophilia, I don't know what could be done, as a settlement they could at least be forced to apologize and print a retraction but can they be forced to do so at front page?

I should have clarified that I meant not to say anything after the article is published with your rebuttal words. Before and after a hit piece is published, there's a different psychology in how you can defend yourself. I'll break it down.

If you talk to the journalist before the article is published, they use your words in their article. If you talk to the journalist and other media after the article is published, people will prioritise the original article more than the follow-up articles. In the media, a woman could admit she made a false rape accusation, but the very first article that mentions the alleged rape will get a high priority, and any follow-up articles will never have the same effect as the original articles. In my opinion, and I could be wrong, follow-up articles tend to have a way of getting people to read the original article, so the person interviewed in the follow-up article thinks they're clearing the air and vindicating themselves, but the reader will seek out the original article (or articles that look like the original article), and those articles will paint a darker picture of you than the one you used to defend yourself. It's a twisted opinion, but I think it.

Sorry to hear that man. Thanks for sharing this as a warning to everyone else.

Hopefully, if it's just one article in a paper, hardly anyone will read it and most people will forget in a while. Those pictures don't look like they actually identify you that well to be honest.

I genuinely would get a copy of that newspaper and keep it safe somewhere, maybe put it on my wall for a laugh. The big quote on the left is hilarious and awesome.

It's amazing how this corner of the internet has changed over the last couple years.

What used to be a quiet place that was largely left alone by the general public is now the target of the lamestream media's outrage cycle on a regular basis.
