I haven't done any major business or marketing development in about 7 years (I haven't updated my email autoresponder since 2009). My skills have atrophied to the point where, with all the new technological and cultural developments, I'm pretty much forced to start from scratch.

I relied mostly on high traffic volume and prominent Amazon listings to propel adequate sales, but I can't count on Amazon any more so I have to upgrade my skills.

Do we have members here involved in internet marketing? What kind of things do you do?

For me personally, I believe Facebook and Craigslist are King.
Boosting Posts on Facebook is fairly cheap and extremely effective.
Posting Ads on Craigslist in the Community & Gigs section is 100% free and will garner tons of views.

Don't ever buy Marketing or Advertising off of Fiverr.com - this shit is totally bogus and can actually cause harm to your websites rankings (of course this depends on who you buy from - but fuck it, why risk it? It is not worth all the research time).

Other avenues I know are effective but I haven't spent much time on are generic stuff like Twitter & Facebook & Youtube.

Lastly, I have played a lot with Google Adwords and I personally find it to be a clusterfuck of technical-masturbation for the abysmal return on investment I got.

My suggestion: Throw $5 on a Facebook Boost on every Post you make.

I like & share almost all the ROK facebook posts I see and I recommend the other forum members do the same.
This website has been invaluable for my overall lifestyle and daily entertainment (helps lower my stress!)

Roosh, to help you better it would be nice to know what do you want to accomplish in the near future in general on the Internet. How do you want to place yourself on the Internet with which products and which type of customers do you want to attract?

A lot of questions, I know but the more specific you could be the more tailored answers you will get. It's a vast field, changing fastly!

Obviously, of course, you want to make a living from selling your books and from ad revenue which you gained via your blog(s)/youtube.

The thing is with Amazon and your crushed reviews you are in a really bad position. Why? Because there is a shift going on which involves the average online-shopper. In the past they had there starting point at Google to look up for there product (eg. book) they wanted to buy. But nowadays the starting point is more and more Amazon because the avg. online-shopper associates Online-Shopping = Amazon.

And here you are with a product with crushed reviews and, I'm leaning out of the windows here, with bad SEO/SEA on the Amazon side. Not good. Performing on Amazon nowadays becomes a lot harder day by day. If you have any doubts, then just look how many new start-ups arise and want to help you with your product placement, keyword optimization, seller-central in general, etc. on Amazon. This is a really good indicator when such new markets arise.

And one thing is sure. If you have set up your books 100% correctly and made the best possible SEO/SEA on Amazon you won't have good sells because of those many bad reviews. There a so many influencing factors but reviews are very important ones.

I don't know if you are intensively using Google Ads? Did you notice their change of the layout in general? In my opinion it is now a lot harder for content-sites-only to be seen in the search results because of this change if they don't spend money on ads. How's that going on for you since than?

I sell my own software. I would send people to a landing page, get the signup and then run them through a series of videos showing them how to accomplish something they need or really, really want.

I do that while using my software so they can see it in action. I have even shown them how to do something without my software but show how much easier it is with my software.

For conversions, you can test out your email copy, your headlines, your subject lines which will be key to open rates.

You will need to set up each stage and test. Meaning, you want to test subject lines to maximize your open rates. You also want to test your email copy and test your click through rates. Then the landing page (headling, sales copy, video, optin form) if you use one...

It can be a pain in the ass to set up depending on your sales funnel but will help a ton in figuring out your bottlenecks.

Million dollar question right there. I'm not even sure what I want to work on yet, but in the meanwhile I want to decrease dependency on Amazon with more direct sales of my existing books.

Amazon is a huge platform, but concerning my game books, it's not worth trying to fix. I'll release my upcoming book on Amazon, but I expect it to be bombed very quickly. There are SJW armies monitoring me, ready to be a hero online.

WWT has the right idea.

Build your email list with a lead magnet (free giveaway that people want).

I use a simple lead magnet like a quick free report. You could use something like "Top 3 quickest changes you can make to become more attractive to women. *HINT* You can accomplish these TODAY!"

OR "5 most important items I bought this year for attracting women *You've never heard of these before!*"

Something like that might seem sort of cheesy, but a quick report like that is easy to digest, and gets attention. The part in ** will really draw them in. I use simple reports like this as opposed to video lead magnets because I read these convert better because people want something quick and easy to digest. I haven't tested this specifically yet so it may or may not be true, but seemed to make sense to me.

THEN you hit them with a 4-5 day video or email course after they opt in, and use the course to warm them up for the sell. Also mix some testimonials/amazing transformations in there for social proof.

I use Facebook ads a lot and love them, but your product is such a low ticket price that they may not work so well for you.

But what you can do is create a landing page with Leadpages/Clickfunnels/etc. and add that link to a lot of your Facebook posts where people can go to get your free report. Then when your Facebook posts go viral and get shared you'll get a lot of opt ins to your email list, which will then automatically trigger your email course and start warming them up for the sell.

I'd personally give the $5 Facebook post boosts a miss unless you are promoting your new book or something you are planning to sell. $5 won't give you much reach anyways. I would spend a chunk of change promoting your lead magnet to build your email list though. Boost your post to people who "like" your Facebook page and ROK page.

A self liquidating offer would be a good addition to your lead magnet. Basically once they opt in they are redirected to a page offering them a 1 time special offer. You could have a video of you talking and explaining the offer and then some testimonials no the page and a simple buy now button.

The offer could be something like 50% off Day Bang if they order now.

The idea here is that you use the special offer to cover the costs of whatever your costs of running the Facebook ad are, so you're building your email list for free. Then you scale up your ad spend from there. Add a countdown timer to this page letting them know they only have 24 hours or whatever to get the discount. Or you could offer bonuses instead of a discount. A free day game report of your top 3 openers for 10 common situations. Or infield video. Etc.

Bit of a brain dump there but if anything doesn't make sense I'm happy to expand on it.

I do SEO and CRO for my current job. I agree with the other posters on this thread that there are definitely holes in your funnel (rooshv and bangguides)

My suggestion for a first-step would be to get good testimonials (ideally including a picture you could use from a good-looking man) for as many of your books as possible. The good thing about genuine testimonials is that they increase conversion rates, but don't make your site look spammier (if you are worried about that at all).

If you hire someone to do SEO/CRO for you, make sure they are competent enough to do A/B testing and that they provide data-driven justifications for the changes they make. Any firm worth it's weight should be able to track how any changes affect your conversion rate, search traffic, user engagement, etc.

Lots of scammers in this field, but there are lots of people doing good work also.

Why not use the bad reviews from the SJW's on Amazon as testimonials. Turn it around.... Like content so controversial that SJW are trying to suppress it, etc. Here's the book that has Jezebel or Feminazi's, etc. panties in an uproar. Such and such "..." has slammed it as.... Even include links to whatever negative articles have have been written about you or your books.....You can even tweet them....

Sometimes negativity or controversy can drive more sales that positive reviews....

I was thinking the same thing. Plenty of people think Trump is the devil, but I haven't read "The Art of the Deal", and his presidential run makes me want to get it. I bet his sales on that book have skyrocketed.

If you create strongly polarized views, then you can milk the attention to spread your message.

I'd like to see a point in 2-3 years where 80% of men and 50% of women recognize carousel riding woman trying to transition to beta bux for what they are. Push that message hard. It's very controversial, but it's the truth, and it could catch on big.

Indeed. Half the time I visit that site the ads don't even render correctly, get half chopped off, all the article images take like 5 minutes to load or just stop loading leaving grey rectangles at the bottom etc. It just doesn't feel like proper stuff.

This. Feminists hating something is actually enough reason alone for me to buy. Feminist hate, or leftist hate generally, is usually a pretty reliable signal that something is good. Even if you are just selling socks or something, if you can credibly explain why feminists hate the socks: 90% chance I will buy those socks. Even if I don't need any more socks.

So I implemented 2010 technology, the UTM tracking code, after leaning about it recently. Now I can see exactly which pages and emails are leading to sales. Wow! Very powerful stuff. Before I would just "spray and pray" and make guesses where sales came from.

Phoenix: you can send me screenshots of anything that doesn't load correctly.

TooFineAPoint: once I update my autoresponders, I will then upgrade my lead capture game.

Yesware is a cool tool for tracking email opens, but their paid features might not be the best fit for what you want to do Roosh.

The stuff I learned just by browsing a few blogs was incredibly fascinating.

How different colors affect the likelihood of people reading your text, button sizes, reading patterns, moving the donation button from the right of the screen to the left, making it a couple of pixels bigger, and other minuscule shit that most people NEVER think of.

it's mindblowing how changing one little detail can affect profits so much. Maybe I'll get into this as a consultant one day. It's fun to learn about.

It's written by the founder/owner of ClickFunnels, which is a super legit landing page software.

The book is about sales funnels and webinars, but it's all grounded in legit, old school, direct response marketing. He worked for Dan Kennedy for many years.

Basically you need a Value Ladder, which is where you give away something for free, like Roosh's texting guide on his website and the hundreds of great articles there.

Then you use that to get them to buy Bang, once they buy bang you upsell them on the next level, which is a $199 monthly video series of Roosh doing infield and breaking down member submitted videos for all in the group to learn from.

Then you upsell them to your highest program, which is a one week intensive Day Game workshop with you and only 7 other guys, with Roosh and Gio as your coaches for the entire time for only $3,000.

Bit of a ramble, but you get the idea.

This is a very abbreviated version of what the first 50 pages have been about. It's way better than how I laid it out. I'm in a rush to get to the gym, but you get the point.

If you're interested in online business at all, I think it'd be a great read for you.
