I happened to see one of those celebrity gossip shows on Friday. I was at the gym, so it was accidental. The topic of Oprah Winfrey and dieting came up, and this question popped into my head.

When has Oprah NOT been on a diet? How many different diets has she been on over the years?

She's never been on a diet (or a treadmill).

That's why shes been fat as fuck for 30 years.

She makes a shitload of money promoting these fad diets and books she peddles though.

Oprah, Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz are just modern day snake oil salesmen who hit the mainstream.

Interesting. She is always preaching this spiritual stuff. Maybe not preaching but her image is this transformational person so that would imply mentally healthy. So then she wouldn't be eating her emotions then, right? So she should have some discipline and she has access to the world's best resources.

Something isn't adding up. Maybe her mental/spiritual health is not nearly as good as she presents.

I had dealings with a celebrity once and the image pitched was so far removed from the reality.

Anyone that starts telling you about spiritually or how well they live is full of shit.

Come to think of it, the majority of Western women today aren't in shape to say the least, and it seems we'll soon be entering an era where the majority of the younger generation of women will also be single and childless.

I'm a devout Orthodox Christian and deem Mormons as borderline heretics but those people got it right. Ann Romney's genetic and familial legacy will likely last for hundreds of years.

She's never been married, but has been with the same guy for decades. That guy is from where I am from and played high school basketball with a guy who I know very well, hilarious guy who I will tell about the forum the next time I see him. I'm not too sure that he will want to participate. Oprah was supposedly quality when she was a lot younger, but I have never seen a picture of her from back then.

Oprah's carrying a massive bag of shit around with her from her childhood. Grew up shit poor, molested by several family members, had a kid at the age of 14 who died because it was born prematurely. Decided not to become a mother because she had not been mothered well. She was on the cock carousel from a pretty early age, and her "partner", Stedman Graham, has been her cuck since 1986 -- it's consistently rumoured she went lesbian with her best friend decades ago and Stedman is just around to make her look hetero.

Her main talent is making people like her. She basically pioneered Jerry Springer shows. Nothing more to her than that.

If Oprah ever actually lost her fat ass and got thin to the point of being hot, she'd stand to lose hundreds of millions of dollars in future revenue. Her self-loathing lardass fanbase would quickly excommunicate her and dropped endorsements would follow shortly after. The shape she sticks to is "acceptably curvy" (telegenic demands it) though that is a farce - she's got more wire and straps under her clothing than a queer in a gimp outfit.

Her brand has nothing to do with health. It has everything to do with group therapy. "We're all in this together, girls". "Large and in charge". "My life my choice".

Edit: Furthermore, she has an enormous platform where she COULD peddle a weight loss solution that actually works, or preach hard work and effort. She has enough fuck you money to the point that she could just turn her back on future moneys, implode her career a bit, but actually make a stand to increase the health of women everywhere. She's never going to do it, but the opportunity is there.

Agreed. How many people in world history have been dealt the hand she has and done what she has in life, and more important, how many of those people have kept what they have made? I honestly can't think of another.
