I ran across this video and I had to share it. What really blows my mind is the fact that this outstanding citizen's vote counts the same amount as mine does. Assuming that she hasn't been convicted of any felonies. Which is a big assumption of course.

Assuming this is real, why is the family filming this and putting it on worldstar? I hate to say it, but I think the grandma was legit threatening her grandson with a knife, the kid looked legit scared

This is the worst thing I've seen or heard in a while (yes I'm aware worse things happen ie murders but I haven't seen one firsthand in a while). As such I think it warrants some consideration w/r/t cause-effect.

You have a grandmother who appears partly responsible for the kids. This seems more prevalent in communities where parenting seems to be an issue. So there's a chance that as bad as grandma is, mom's even worse. You have an eight year old being taught a) he can't trust his family, b) his grandmother doesn't love him (she doesn't), c) to get people's respect in this world, carry a weapon and don't be afraid to use it, and d) there's an embarrassing video of his family I'd think would dog him but given the neighbourhood he probably lives in it may not be seen as such a huge deal.

Also the person who was doing the filming was just chilling and filming, not taking a stance, then putting this video on internet.

When I see kids and young adults the way they are, It's hard to completely blame them for it because you know growing up, their role models were complete garbage.

A stable home with a mother and a father will trump any other "family" setup.

Historically, if you offended your parents, particularly your father, or perhaps your grandfather, depending on who the paterfamilias was, you could be legally sold into slavery or put to death. However, the rights of husband over wife, parent over child, are always chipped away at by the state as a civilization grows old and decadent. What you read into the video is typical for a person in a society that will be getting overrun by barbarians shortly and there are always barbarians.

The chances of a person losing their minds over "disrespect" (real or imagined), is inversely proportional to household income & education.

Just from the video, I imagine the granny to be a good person who was born into & lived a tough life with few instances where people respected & looked up to her. Now you got her little shit grand-kids poking sticks into those lifelong wounds ... hence the meltdown.

People value whatever they get the least of. In poorer households it is respect. The middle class equivalent would be the desire to be viewed as special/interesting with as little risk as possible.

I am disgusted by the lack of leadership. Leaving the whole knife thing alone, the kid was not wearing a seat belt on what looks like a freeway. Terrible, terrible parenting.

I'd imagine the move was probably the only thing that would have gotten those kids to get in line. Not that I agree with the methods but hey, respect begets respect. And stupidity can also be linked to low income households.

She pulled a knife on a child, the rest of the family were still laughing and the kid was still acting up.

I don't see reasonable, well adjusted people pulling knives out of their purses and jeans upon some form of disrespect. They're stupid and it flows in the genes of the family.

Look at all the people involved in the video, look at any other video on worldstar and then draw your own conclusion which group is usually featured and creating worldstarhiphop videos. Hint: it's not the Mormons.
