I have a female friend, 47, that's recently separated living in a posh pad in Florida. She signed up for a dating web site (name escapes me at the moment) and received over 300 messages from guys of various ages, the first day she signed up! She was overwhelmed, just couldn't believe the number of responses. She also joined Tinder, again, tons of responses, went out on a couple of dates, met guys that range from serial text messengers to fools proclaiming their undying love for her.

As long as dating sites and dating apps exist, women over 40 will have no shortage of takers.

My mum is/was on Tinder and even she in her late 40s complained about the messages she received and claims to have deleted the app. AFAIK she does regularly see a guy she met from there though - although he's a similar age.

A lot of younger guys take the view that the older broads are going to be easier though. Mostly fuelled by thirst. There are better ways of getting them than online game.

I think this is a great point. Social media has amplified the amount of attention all women receive, so a 21 y/o HB9 can have tens of thousands of followers/fans/matches whereas a generation ago she'd just be known as "the pretty girl" in her neighbourhood/office/social circle. Same goes for a 47 year old, let's say for the sake of argument that she's a 7 (relative to her age). Back in the day she'd be lucky to meet a man 45-60 who was available, interested, and attractive. Now she can put herself out there for the whole world.

The flipside: this phenomenon is accelerating the rate of societal decay. Men have less and less incentive to settle down, be productive, responsible, etc. Less obvious but equally important is that men also have more disincentive to do these things since it's that much easier for your woman to cheat, humiliate, cuck you, etc. So, the more attention and easy money women gain thanks to social media and sliding moral standards, the faster they will wind up reduced to subsistence living and actual patriarchy, being traded like commodities, etc.

Sexual market value is relative. If a female 5 gets 40 messages from guys begging to lick chunky peanut butter from her sweaty asshole after she ran a 10K she's gonging to start thinking she's the shit because the amount of thirsty messages makes her feel she's desirable(when the reality is that the guys just have low standards).

What's the solution? Women aren't going to give up the instant dopamine hits they get from betas on social media and dating sites willingly.

Years ago I made a fake OkCupid with some pics from a 5.5 white girl in rural area of about 40k people. The profile got 30 messages and 40-50 likes a week. Guys were just sending their phone number and corny jokes.

Doesn't really matter, there was never a time where a somewhat fit 40 year old woman couldn't find thirsty simps, it was just in bars at last call and after enough beers to aquire said beer goggles. Let he who has not banged some milf and regretted cast the first stone. The more annoying thing with dating apps and milfs is that these last chance, late night lays might turn into actually having to pretend to be looking for more than a bang online with an old woman, which is an abominiation.

The perception of "more is better" is where men make mistakes in assessing women's SMV. More does not = better.

I know a lot of older women. And for the most part, the majority of messages these women get are not sent by successful, attractive men. George Clooney's clone isn't out there looking for them.

The messages come from scammers from the Third World, married men looking to cheat, really fat guys, the neckbeard crowd, 18-year-olds looking for easy MILF action, social rejects, prisoners, and other guys who you probably never notice day-to-day...for good reason.

So when a woman -- especially an older one -- tells you "I got 50 messages today!" be sure to inquire as to who exactly was doing the messaging. Another reason people believe this is the media, and it goes without saying they're full of sh*t.

To reverse the roles here, if I got on a dating Web site and was swarmed with fat, ugly women or women as old as my mother, this would not be a positive. Not only would I not want to go out with any of them, but it would make me start to question how good my own SMV really was since these porkers and grandmas saw me on their (very low) level.

The above example isn't an example. It's what really happened. Sometimes less is more.

The wall is definitely real. Kind of depends on what the woman's relationship goals are. To me, the peak is when it is the easiest for a person to obtain their romantic goals. The wall is when a person hit the point where it becomes noticeable harder to achieve their romantic goals.

So for women, the peak for getting sexual attention, marriage and children is the late teens, early 20s

The wall for marriage and having children happens in the early 30s.

The wall for sexual attention and getting sex, around mid 30s - mid 40s; it depends on how well she ages and if she is able to maintain her looks.

The women in their early 30s that responded are clearly concerned about not being able to get married and have children. Women in their early to mid 20 are clearly not concerned about such things. How often to you hear about women in their early to mid 20 making marriage ultimatums? I just changed the upper limit of my dating app age range from 27 to 35 just for the fuck of it.

Definitely interesting to see the 29-35 year old demographic on the dating market. I wonder how real their situation feels at this point: peak years clearly behind them, clock ticking on what's left of their ovaries, dozens of failed romances in the past, friends getting engaged and having children, sometimes a prestigious career (but less often than not), having to meet men on a dating app and rope them into a serious relationship with expired goods.

Then, as I come closer to exiting my 20's, I think of what it's like to be on the other side of the equation: a balding/grey haired man, more money and career success than SMV, perpetually ignored by women in their prime years, having to pretend you'd rather have this crowd than a nubile 20 year old.

Then I realize that there is no shortage of men who have "hit the wall," who despite having made most of the right choices with education, career, and game, will have to settle for this crowd, due to poor aging and social norms.

I must make the most of these next few years, because it will determine the rest of my romantic life. Since I refuse to settle for this crowd, the day that I can't consistently pull the talent that I can currently pull, will be the day that I am a forever bachelor.

From what I’ve seen on tinder and the like, a lot of the older women are in far better shape than the college aged ones.

40+ and athletic / fit vs 22 and skinny fat or obese...

It’s real. A lot of the older women take much better care of themselves. I guess they have to if they want some dick but it’s tinder, not bride shopping.

Even if we manage to stay in shape into our 40s and 50s, what's the point in comparing ourselves to celebrities in terms of the women we can get?

I'm still being honest about my age, 42, on Tinder - still in great shape, probably never carried more muscle mass than I do now and only a few kilos away from ~10% body fat (I'm not going to try to claim that my face could pass for ten years younger or something like that though, I take care of myself and do what I can to optimize my looks - including shaving or buzz cutting my balding head since my 20s - but I definitely look older, even if not necessarily worse, than I did five or ten years ago).
And yet even here in (not really so) traditional Eastern Europe, setting my age search range on dating apps below 30 gives me almost no matches, and the rare ones I get lead nowhere, either because I'm low priority or because young women suck at even text conversations (I suspect a little of both).
Meeting younger women through other means often provides significantly more positive initial responses, but mostly I date women in their 30s.

Corrected: As long as (most) Western men remain too lazy or coward to take a plane for Asia or Latin America, Western women over 40 will have no shortage of takers.

Those old Western women feast on lazy Western men who are too afraid (or too poor, or too lazy or probably both) to travel to, say, Colombia or Thailand.

And thanks God, by the way, that most (boring) Western men will never leave their comfort zone: more fun for us travelers We fuck the twenty-years old hot Asians or Latinas, they can have the 45 y.o Western, empowered female nightmares.
