From browsing through this forum, it sounds like LA and the Bay Area are the 2 worst places in the US to game (with maybe Washington DC also).

I spent some time in Silicon Valley and just went to SF a few times. However, my friend in SV told me that he found it way harder to get dates in the Bay Area compared to Asia and certain other parts of the US.

I have also spent time living in Orange County and LA. I found the people there to be quite douchey. I also know there's stiff competition from wanna-be celebrities and dudes with money. But I didn't game much so I don't know if its even harder for most guys to get dates there compared to in SF

For those who have lived in both, how do they compare?

SoCal is better.

San Diego and for a more niche game Santa Barbara are your two best options.

Inland Empire, Valley north of LA, desert towns, and Ventura county are the places worse than LA and OC.

As far as getting quality pussy LA and OC are still better than 95% of the country.

You get lots of 7+ diverse races.

The logistics and attitudes are what makes it painful.

San Diego and Santa Barbara have much less of those two problems.

The words "D.C." and Los Angeles don't even belong in the same sentence. People are really knocking it out of the park today with some of the posts. The Travesty smackdown in his own thread was very much needed and I agree with every word of it.

I lived in Santa Barbara (Isla Vista) for some time and as far as the US is concerned I haven't been to a better place yet. Lots of good looking 18-22 year old girls and a relaxed party school atmosphere. What makes the place more interesting is the fact that it's a complete college bubble that lacks old people, kids etc. Many fit blondes from across California can be found here attending UCSB and SBCC. Other places to visit in this town besides IV are State Street (pedestrian area downtown) and SBCC campus in between classes (the brige connecting two parts of the campus). I don't know about Bay Area but most chicks I've met from there were hippy/liberal types (unattractive). I've spent a lot of time in Seattle as well so I figure it would be similar to the Bay. I currently live in Manhattan but when it comes to girls SB is waaay better. If I was retiring with bunch of money with intention of chasing pussy and it had to be inside the US that would be the place.

I heard San Diego was also really bad, not because of the attitudes and competition, but because of the large military presence, hence the name 'Man Diego'. So that's not true?

LA has endless amount of options you just need game and style. Honestly money isn't that big of a factor unless you want to attract those type of chicks. My tenat who's a "struggling actor" goes to the Dirty Laundry Bar in Hollywood and pulls models and they literally support him (rides, food, etc).

The Man Diego thing is completely true (lived there nearly six years). Sometimes you'll be wandering bars in PB and there will be 5 guys to every girl.

However, nearly all of them have zero game so you've still got a chance. On top of that, the attitudes are nowhere near that in LA. It's tolerable. And there are a lot of cuties, and a lot of universities so a lot of fresh talent coming in every year.

San Diego over LA in a heartbeat, every time.
