I agree, black lives matter should be sceded control of some of these areas so they can show the rest of the country how changing the skin color of public servants magically will fix everything. They can even ask south africa how that worked out for them.

I know many a CPD and a couple I served with overseas. It's a shame what's happening, but it will only get worse. The vets I know had to sue to get on the force because they were unfairly discriminated against. They had a couple things going against them:

I) Combat vets

II) White

The city should be honored that veterans want to be a part of their police force, but they're not. You can guess the candidates the city wants to join their ranks: women, illterate, minorities, trans xyz.

Throw any fitness or aptitude standards right out the window -as long as you're not a white male. I've heard it time and again about the women and minority crowd not being able to complete the 2 or 3 mile run in the allocated time but still receiving a passing grade. But you know damn well they're watching Timmy O'leary from the far southside like a hawk. The city is also turning a blind eye to anyone with backgrounds in their record, and they either reduced or did away completely with the application fee.

It's literally bizarro world.

It's only going to get a whole lot worse once Kim Foxx takes over as States Attorney. We already baby these criminals and thugs enough, I can only imagine what is going to come once she's in office.

As for fiscal year '16, winter cannot get here fast enough for the top cops and ((Rahm))! And stay fetal is the name of the new game.

He became a depressed alcoholic, gained weight, and lost his wife and pretty much his family due to what he had to experience.

My parents live on Chicago's far north side, which used to be one of the safest areas of the city. From what I've been hearing is they are pulling police from that district to put police in higher crime areas, which leaves a bare bones force by my folks, so crime is going up there some.

I live along the lake on the north side, and while it's normal pretty safe there is still a good amount of crimes and shootings. I haven't heard any news of sexual assaults on the lake front, but most of the time it's kept quiet. I'm surprised that the feminists I know from the bar aren't squaking about it.....

He became a depressed alcoholic, gained weight, and lost his wife and pretty much his family due to what he had to experience.
