Hahaha ...... does she have to talk like that.

She is loving every minute of that massage.

I do a lot of stretching before my workouts, my workout partner bends me like a pretzel.

It is a must and has helped me greatly.

I do occasionally but not enough. When I blew my hamstring about a month in rehabbing I had them focus on that and it helped with the recovery. If you get a good massage therapist make sure not to do anything to lose their most valuable asset(massages) by doing something stupid like banging them.

RE: Massages For Lifters
So not lifting specifically, but I got to spend a fair amount of time recently around some professional MMA fighters from one of the very well known fight camps. Without miss, they all emphasized the importance of pre-hab (warming up, dynamic stretching) and re-hab (massage, stretching, mobility drills etc.), and this is without me bringing up the topic. Not just for longevity, but injury prevention during their physical prime as well. The unifying theme of what they had to say was this: They wish (specifically the older guys) that these things I just mentioned, in addition to mobility in general, had been emphasized from the start of their athletic careers (not just fighting, but guys who've crossed over to MMA from other professional sports).

Bold and determined has a recent article about movement and mobility. Being able to move through range of motions doesn't just benefit longevity, but it's what makes you "athletic". Not simply being big, but being able to move through a whole range of motion with speed. It's the difference between guys that look like they'll hurt you and guys that'll actually hurt you.

Civilize the mind but make savage the body.

Used to get one once every 4-6 weeks. Now I get my fiancee to do it every other day. It really helps my recovery from training for 2 sports: powerlifting and boxing.
